I have the wake on wrist raise set to on instead, since I am not bending my back and get my head down to the wrist level to look at the watch face.I have it on my Apple Watch S6 and S7. I honestly love it because the screen is able to show the calendar date, weather, time, battery life indicator, music, missed calls, notifications at all times. You can see all the information at first glance instead of relying on "Tap to Wake".
If battery life is a major concern. Plenty of things can be turned off instead. This is a good article below ⬇️

iOS 15 Battery Drain: 29+ Tips to Make Your Battery Last Longer
With every new operating system update, there are complaints about battery life and rapid battery drain, and iOS 15 is no exception. Since iOS 15 was...www.macrumors.com
To be fair, Apple did bring OLED to regular iPhone 12 after keeping it exclusive to iPhone 11 Pro the year before. What kind of an idiot came up with this rumor in the first place? Why would Apple come up with a premium feature only to bring it to the non-Pro models just a year later? They’re gonna keep it exclusive to Pro models for 2-3 years and then port it down to SEs. Doesn’t anyone remember the OLED transition for the lower cost models?
Must be a slow news day. Only an idiot would think this would be put on cheaper models. As it is, there isn't a whole lot to set each model apart besides camera and display. It was a miracle they stopped putting a crappy 720P LCD in the base model iPhone with the 12 forward. What kind of an idiot came up with this rumor in the first place? Hate to correct you :/ but OLED started with the X. Then the 11 pro.To be fair, Apple did bring OLED to regular iPhone 12 after keeping it exclusive to iPhone 11 Pro the year before.
Not entirely accurate. OLED has been on the expensive models since iPhone X. Took them three years to bring it to less expensive ones.To be fair, Apple did bring OLED to regular iPhone 12 after keeping it exclusive to iPhone 11 Pro the year before.
You clearly have no idea how a corporation operates.120hz screens are not some super high end expensive technology that Apple invented, should be a basic feature across all models by now.
It's not a pro feature either, it's just a higher refresh screen that can be had for cheap on larger desktop panels for years so why they even call it a pro feature I'll never know.
I’d guess that the cost difference between LCD and OLED was much higher for Apple than the price difference between 60Hz and 120Hz ProMotion. What kind of an idiot came up with this rumor in the first place? My Samsung Z Fold-3 says otherwise.Supply issues or not, Apple makes such huge contracts on new tech that it can choke the ability for anyone else to have access to the latest tech.
It’s a business decision and not just about cost. A matter of exclusivity.I’d guess that the cost difference between LCD and OLED was much higher for Apple than the price difference between 60Hz and 120Hz ProMotion.
If an OLED screen instead of LCD costs Apple $15 more, and ProMotion only increases their costs by $2, it would make more sense for ProMotion to trickle down faster.
OLED vs LCD probably also has a lot more supply chain complexities.
I've never noticed. I didn't notice when we got iPad pros for the first time at work either 🤷♂️You must be legally blind then. It's not even kind of sort of noticeable. It couldn't be a more stark contrast.
They wouldn’t (In all likeliness). That’s why it’s not realistic from a standpoint where it would detract away from the more expensive iPhones. That’s a specific feature likely locked into the ‘Pro’ models only. Look at Apple’s past history of reserved iPhone features, they’re typically reserved for the Pro models as a marketing feature.why would apple add 120hz on non-pro model for?
I may be naive, but they could add this feature to non-pro models to make a non-pro midels better.why would apple add 120hz on non-pro model for?
