Like most of the people here, I sometimes find Prosser’s character annoying. Most of the times 😂. But please, in these days and age, let’s just focus on facts.

If this website is to be believed, he’s as accurate as Kuo.

Wow...That's actually super surprising, but I very much appreciate that you brought that scoreboard to light. I guess I have to stand corrected about Kuo vs. Prosser. I can admit when I'm wrong. I think I fall into the category of people you described, who find him personally annoying, and obviously that has biased me.

Thank you for adding data to the conversation.

It would be interesting to see an "accuracy trend line" over time. I say this because I suspect that Prosser's sources have been identified/compromised by Apple within the last year or so, whereas I don't know if that is true of Kuo or not.

The scoreboard doesn’t take into account the quality of the prediction. One may predict many obvious things and therefore score high. Flawed methodology.

That is a fair criticism. Nevertheless, it does somewhat diminish the validity of the "Prosser is always wrong and Kuo is usually right" narrative.

We had information from Hermes in terms of the date a few days ago, and now Amazon have added the models to their website. I expect he’s used this information to form the rumour.

The same guy that got it all wrong gets more front page to say when the Series 7 will be released.

Why are we still giving Prosser oxygen?

With flat sides, Jon?

but which version? his flat edge one maybe?
Hahaha ...

Give the guy a break. He gets most of the stuff right and lets just be real for a second here, when it comes to the Apple Watch flat edges redesign he was no alone. Pretty much all leakers and analysts got it completely wrong.

Yeah if you could stop writing articles anytime he says something that would be a good idea. Kuo got it wrong too but his track record is much, much better than Prosser’s so he get a pass.
Actually it isn’t, it’s around the same.

all the top leakers got the Apple Watch leak wrong here. Doesn’t mean every leak is going to be wrong from here.

mid October does seem likely based on the fact production was said to be getting started

It’s kind of upsetting that they still haven’t really discussed pricing. Starts at $399 means nothing. You know that’s going to be the trash tier aluminum watch, and the small one at that. How much is it going to be to get a 45mm stainless steel? Will I be forced to buy a band I don’t want? Etc. etc.
There’s nothing to suggest changes in pricing for the small and larger entry models.

It will be $399 for 41mm and $429 for 45mm base models.

What the new high end bands will cost us anyone’s guess.

People on here forget that all(!) the leakers got AW7 wrong.

Prosser still has a track record of being right some 74% which is the same as Kuo and really not that bad.

The difference with Prosser and why people love to hate him is that he puts his face and persona out there while everyone else is anonymous.

You guys have nowhere near the same hate for leakers that are nothing more than a name or a twitter handle.

Apple has never released an Apple Watch in October.
Series zero: April 24, 2015
Series one and 2: September 16, 2016
Series 3: September 22, 2017
Series 4: September 21, 2018
Series five: September 20, 2019
Series 6: September 18, 2020
"October timeframe" since you're being pedantic. And just because a version was released at the end of Sept doesn't mean everyone got it then. For example the watch on my wrist I couldn't get until mid-October.

I know Prosser has this weird, rabid fanbase but he's an incredibly unreliable leaker and nothing will change that. The only things he gets right are again, the obvious things.

Obvious things like Gurman predicts saying Mac’s will be here anytime from September to November …going by this Gurman shouldn’t get credit for this either.

Until it ships in November and Prosser says Apple made a “last minute” change of plans.

My 5 broke two weeks ago, desperately waiting for the 7...
(dug up my series 1 for now and actually amazed how well it still works although a bit slooooooow)

The Apple Watch Series 7 did not get the design changes we were expecting, including the flat-edged design described by Prosser earlier this year.

Were we?

The Series 7 is basically a larger Series 6 with swipe keyboard for typing, right?
