Here is the thing, and we have known this pretty much since 2008, there will be a new iPhone every year. Also, with the introduction of the iPhone Upgrade Program, we know thats the case ever since; and the same with the Apple Watch most other Apple products like the Watch.

So, why does it really matter around exact dates and time. Guessing if its September 10 is like guessing, the sun might shine today, the sun might not shine today. The fact is, the sun is likely to shine a couple more times in September. If you get it right once, doesn't make you are tea leaf reader or a psychic.

However this year is very different, if they are ready to go I can see them announcing

Ready to go with what? Beta firmware?

They need to finalise it and load it onto the watches. That will take 2 Weeks and another 2 from a logistics standpoint to even organise distribution

I’d anything these watches coming out are probably the rumoured budget models that will run watchOS 6

No they don’t, they can simply be released with the current WatchOS and when it’s released WatchOS 7 can be downloaded.

What? When has that ever happened? So u think rumoured blood oxygen sensor will work with watchOS 6? There has been no indication of any new hardware support in watchOS 6 so far

This happened back in 2012, with the release of the iPad 3 in March and iPad 4 in November. And out of date? They were released 6 months ago, most improvements are small spec bumps that aren't noticeable in normal situations.
The rumours are that the new iPad Pro’s will come with an A14X which will be a MASSIVE improvement over the A12X/Z processors. Even if they keep the rest of the iPad the same that is still a huge spec bump which would annoy a lot of customers who have just paid a huge sum of money for a 2020 iPad Pro.

I totally forgot about the iPad 3-4 being only 6 months, however this time there are 2 iPad Pro models and they are both far more expensive than the iPad 3, I’d like to think Apple would go a full year between models of a device so expensive but I guess we shall see, but if they do update it so quickly they would loose a lot of trust from customers.

Also if they wait until march for the iPad Pro it gives them something new and shiny to introduce in Q1 2021 which would boost Q2 earnings quite nicely.

Apple Watch series 6 will require iOS 14, and that will probably be released in October if Apple follows the same timeframe as usual. I’m highly skeptical.

They might still announce the products on Tuesday and launch them a week+ later. When they come out, they can come with iOS 14.0, followed up by 14.1 once the iPhones are ready?

can u see them releasing a new pro without 5G? I cant

can u see them releasing an iPad 5G before the iPhone 12? I can’t

So we'll also see watchOS 7 and iOS 14 then?
They aren’t ready. Not going to happen.
Apple is probably going to release another beta next week, than GM the following week, with final availability of iOS 14 around September 23, which is in line with previous iOS releases

They aren’t ready.

Apple releases a GM to devs to make sure there are no showstopping bugs.
Devs then get a week+ to submit their apps and then public release

They just released their latest beta.

amazing how people think they have the GM loaded on the watches ready to ship out already...

I was speaking of what he has said about this release not his other predictions. Past results are not indicative of current or future results.
Yes they are. He’s not a prophet or a gambler. He’s claiming to have sources inside Apple who give him this info. His credibility is directly related to the accuracy of his leaks.

They could have a stable enough internal build on the new Watches and iPads and have day one updates ready to go on the release day. That has happened with a number of iPhones before so its not out of the realm of possibility for these supposed new devices.

I would be surprised if Apple would issue a press release and not being able to ship pretty much immediately, eg within a day or 2/3 ... I find it hard to believe that AW6 is ready to ship next week, the pandemic has put everything on hold for a month or 2 or even more, product schedules will be impacted.
I guess we will find out in less than 2 days ... as always, hoping I'm wrong :oops:

Its sounds like this is the usual educational push with new iPad, iPad Air models. I'm not sure a redesigned iPad mini with a 8.5 " screen is this soon? Be a nice surprise if that was true. :)

I’d be surprised if any iPad Pro models are announced this press release, the current models have only been out 6 months and if they are replaced so quickly a lot of customers will be annoyed that their 1000 pound/dollars/euro tablets are out of date so quickly.

Air/Mini/10.2 I reckon, however if they release with the A14 then that would also be odd as traditionally the iPhones have always debuted the new processors. That being said these are odd times, so we shall see.
Considering the last iPad Pro update was pretty much a dud (most don’t care about cameras) and the silly processor is just an A12X with an extra core enabled for graphics.

These new iPad Air rumors are even more confusing......it’s essentially an iPad Pro from 2018 with very minor differences.

Not sure why it’s so hard for them to do a really nice update.....A14X chip with 6 or 8GB or ram and just stick the iPhone Pro cameras on it and call it a day. That would be a massive tangible improvment that would have gotten people to upgrade. Every major review told people of the 2018 pro to skip this completely unless you have some real world bizarre need for the LiDar camera.
