I would be surprised if Apple would issue a press release and not being able to ship pretty much immediately, eg within a day or 2/3 ... I find it hard to believe that AW6 is ready to ship next week, the pandemic has put everything on hold for a month or 2 or even more, product schedules will be impacted.
I guess we will find out in less than 2 days ... as always, hoping I'm wrong :oops:
They released the refreshed iMacs through a press release and no issues there! They issued the iPhone SE 2 earlier this year through press release and no issues there. I think Apple's supply chain can handle the Apple Watch Series 6 as well this year.

If this rumor proves true for Prosser, it’s just another Mark for his credibility. I know others don’t really care for what he has to say and he ‘gloats’, but he’s been a staple for Apple with his predictions being on target aside from WWDC.

Can you please stop giving this man credit for his predictions!

It is absolutely logical that Apple would announce the Watch and iPad next week based on the product filings and based on the history of events.

Anyone could determine that!!

What's annoying is that now people will give him credit for being a 'leaker'.

He's not a leaker, he's no better than a fortune teller!!

I’d be surprised if any iPad Pro models are announced this press release, the current models have only been out 6 months and if they are replaced so quickly a lot of customers will be annoyed that their 1000 pound/dollars/euro tablets are out of date so quickly.

Air/Mini/10.2 I reckon, however if they release with the A14 then that would also be odd as traditionally the iPhones have always debuted the new processors. That being said these are odd times, so we shall see.
I agree its likely a bit too soon for the next iPad Pro, any and all of the iPad/ Air/ mini are definitely due a bump though, a minor bump to the A12 for the iPad with the above redesigned A14 based Air seem very plausible, and I'm not sure about the mini, it was brought back at parity with the Air, but with no leaks it sounds like it might just get an internals bump if anything? The A4 and A5 both debuted in the iPad before making their way into the iPhone so it wouldn't be completely unprecedented for the A14 to appear first in a new iPad Air :)

The rumours are that the new iPad Pro’s will come with an A14X which will be a MASSIVE improvement over the A12X/Z processors.

The Apple Silicon Mac(s) could require extra system integration and testing time due to the new architecture.

So perhaps they released the A14X for mid-volume production (for both Macs and iPad Pros), before ramping up the A14 to the extremely high volume production levels needed to fill the distribution channels (for iPhones and lower cost iPads). That would delay the iPhone announcement, but not the iPad one.

I was speaking of what he has said about this release not his other predictions. Past results are not indicative of current or future results.
That makes no sense at all. It's called a reputation.
If he had a reputation for being the boy who cried wolf...why would anyone believe him?
But, he has a reputation for being correct. Which makes this believable. That's all. Believable.
By your logic, it makes sense to believe a liar.
But then, why would Apple even release a new watch this year?

I would believe so. Most iOS releases were dropped in mid September. If preorders were on the 11th and Watches and iOS 14 released on the 18th, it would line up with the release schedule.
Considering iOS has been in beta for 100+ days in 7 of the past 8 years, and we’re only at <80 days, and assuming watchOS 7 needs iOS 14, I think we’re looking at at least 3-4 more weeks until a release.

It’s likely that’s when iPhones will get released

Interesting to see Gurman thinks the iPhone event will be in September when all the rumours have been pointing towards October.

Both Apple Watch and iPad Air supplies are constrained on Apple’s website right now so all signs point to an imminent announcement. Tuesday will be interesting, that’s for sure.
iPhone and watch will be announced in the month of September and availability of the new iPhone s will be in October.
