imagined it being around 50% wider and having a second screen rising up from the back edge like the screen of a laptop.
Nobody should ever pay attention to what Prosser says.
Prosser? Really?
Shut the hell up, Prosser - and MR, stop reporting on things he says.
Stopped reading after ‘Prosser’ in the headline.
I don’t know whether to laugh at the fact that such a large portion of the MacRumor’s community still hates Jern for no apparent reason, or cry at the fact that he’s become completely absorbed in his Apple leaks to the point that he’s forgotten about Front Page Tech. It used to be a tech news show that covered everything in tech; now it’s just a bi-monthly conglomeration of his Apple leaks.

Madness? Actually, the non-pro Apple products are really good, and the pro versions offer extra for those who want it. It’s a good system.
Though I do wish there wasn't that FOMA feeling with not spending $999.

:(

No, the Series 5 is already a premium product, I expect them to keep the price for 6 and offer a cheaper version.
Don’t they already do that by keeping around an older model to sell at a lower price point? Maybe this just means the cheaper model will now basically be a series 4. I hope they don’t create some ‘pro’ marketing term just to allow them to raise the price.

I don’t think so. I think that the “SE” or whatever it’s called will keep that $199 Price point that Apple loves so much. Keep in mind that with watchOS 7, the series 2 lost support. So if they plan to discontinue support for the series 3 with watchOS 8, it would be completely stupid for them to still sell a series 3. However, they can’t just sell the series 5 at that $199 Price point, so it completely makes sense for them to introduce a compromised version.

usually I’m not one of the few on this website that goes out of their way to disagree with Jon just because he’s Jon. I have defended him several times.
However, I think he has a couple things wrong.
First of all, I think he has his processors mixed up. The M9 is not an Apple Watch chip.
And secondly, if we are going off of the idea that this is a SE like product, then wouldn’t it make more sense for them to update the series 3 design with a faster processor? Kind of like how they had the iPhone 8 at a lower price point, then they replaced it with the iPhone SE. Not the series 4.
So I think it’s more likely that we see an updated Apple Watch with the series 3 design, just with a faster processor. The S5 or whatever.
It starts at that magical $199 Price point that Apple has raved about for years with the older iPhones, the iPod touches, and the Apple Watch Series 3.
Then we have the series 6 at $399 and $499 respectively, just like how it’s been for the last couple years

Honestly, I used ECG once then the novelty wore off...the issue is, new AW will have attractive features that I want.

Regardless of what Prosser is saying, it does make sense and will be nice to see an Watch 'SE' of sorts at a cheaper price point as opposed to keeping an older model around.

It'll be interesting if it has the Series 4 design and if the Series 6 is still using the same design.

Great another device no one needed to justify probably increasing the price of the series 6. it’s Tim Cook’s kind of business. Instead of just naturally improving the specs of a next generation device while keeping the price, they instead offer a „low budget“ version while increasing the price of the latest and greatest. We have already seen it with the iPhone and iPad. Apple Watch Pro? 😅

I was really hoping for a Fitbit Charge 4 like device as I find the Apple Watch too much.

That's sad.
