People just want to **** on Prosser. I don't like the guy, but he definitely has some credibility and is sticking to his prediction/sources. We’ll see what happens, people should chill out a bit.

This would be more of a product reveal than a "press release," especially in COVID times. Apple almost always does product reveals based on PST. If anything is coming today, I'd expect it around 10AM PST.

Why would Apple use 9am Eastern time? They would probably use Pacific time. I think any announcement is going to be a media event announcement.

They've done announcements from New York in the past, so it's not unlikely. Given the circumstances, however, I think you might be right in which case there's still a couple of hours to go.

We are all waiting for the twist

I looked at a handful of different models in the UK store earlier today and they all said available for pickup.

There's plenty still available for delivery and pickup. Here's an example (not my zip code):

Well, folks, like the first date I ever had a kid in summer camp once told me:

"It's been real, it's been fun, but it hasn't been real fun."

We're not seeing anything new in September, of note, anyway. At most, I think we will see an announcement today of the virtual fall event later this month.

Not exactly crying in my coffee that Prosser appears to be wrong either.

No problems getting hold of any S5 models here in the UK.

Not sure why there are a few of you saying no availability in the U.K. as I checked every model in all sizes and get the same delivery date.

I looked at a handful of models on the website, and got no availability...

Didn't Apple just release the 2020 iPad pro on the website without any fanfare?

They did, but the 2020 iPad Pro was simply a 2018 iPad with a spec bump and new camera. Which maybe this watch is just a spec bump too, so its plausible.

That's actually really interesting. Delivery either today or September 25 onwards with nothing in between?
The person is close enough to the physical store to have it delivered in person today. Having it actually shipped is showing up like most others around the world: at least 2 weeks out.

Surely we don't see a new Apple Watch without a new WatchOS version? In my use of the public beta, my existing watch gives me nothing but trouble until both phone and watch are equally on the latest OS release, otherwise frequent watch kernel panics. Hence I'm thinking no new Apple Watch until the new iOS version ships.

I noticed this morning that many models in the US went from unavailable to shipping at bit with delivery dates in the 9/21-9/23 range. Which is pretty far out. I am wondering if the series 5 will stick around as the lower cost option or if they will just swap those order for the series 6 since a delivery date in that range will follow normal pre-order to delivery timelines.

the store stock I have seen in the US, in my zip code, might be misleading. Our stores were closed until today - so it could just be residual stock.
