Prototype Apple Watch Bands!

This is my small collection. Nothing rare but I love them!

Would love to get some of the solid color “silicone” straps at some point. Yellow, blue, red, green, pink and all the colors in between.

Nice collection! Love the prides. A few of those I’d say are rare, but just a little note, I don’t really want this thread to be a place to share your collection. That can be done in the Every Apple Watch band thread. This one is more focused on the rare ones!

At last! My Holy Grail!

This whole manic band collection thing began for me in May with an attempt to get all the Pride bands.

Had the new ones, had the loop, 2018 was easy to find, but 2017?... I was sent half a dozen 2018s and 2019 loops in my attempts to get hold of it. The only one I managed to get in the end was dirty and dog-eared. It’s clean now, but a bit ropey and still smells of the last guy’s aftershave...

But now this - brand new and sealed! ‘Only’ £56... honestly, I’d have paid much more at this stage - my max bid was insane...

I’m almost afraid to open it...

try getting a 2016 employee one... idk how i managed it but i was able to get one bundled with some black or gray band for 30 bucks i threw the black/gray band in the trash as soon as i received it.

Not a bad find! Sealed ones pop up on eBay for crazy prices, but they’re almost never sold that high. I’ve bought sealed ones for $17, $25, and seen other listings go for $30-50, but rarely ever over $100 outside of Pride month. I say open it! No point in having a band you can’t wear, right?

Ah yes, the 2016. Doubt I'll ever see one of those... unless you fancy selling for a huge profit?😉

Oh, it'll get opened!

Problem I and others over here have is that there are considerably fewer of any band in the UK, let alone the rare ones (and virtually no 2016 Prides for obvious reasons). It's bit like you guys only being able to buy bands from California, except Apple Watch penetration in California will be much high than in the UK.

I'm very jealous of Mercari, OfferUp etc, as the equivalents over here (Shpock, Vinted) offer very few bands (although they do have the odd uninformed seller practically giving them away, i.e. I got a Black Pink Blast boxed for £12 and have just paid £25 for an unused Barely Rose/Pearl Pink - they're few and far between though...)

I may have to take a look at Reddit, but even then I imagine the shipping can be crippling!

There are quite a few AppleBandMarket sellers with decently priced rarities in the UK & Europe. I know @iChernov is over in Europe and often sells rare ones, so shipping Shouldn’t be too bad compared to transatlantic rates.

I've got something from @iChernov on the way as we speak!

I am now quietly sobbing to myself about never getting to gently cradle a 2016 Pride and telling it how special it is...

These forums break people...

I managed to pick up a ‘Cloud’ sport band with the ceramic pin from the ceramic edition Apple Watch. I think it came boxed with the Series 3. I don’t see them available for sale much.

Would it now be considered rare?
