Makes sense considering Series 6 watch on WatchOS 7 will require an iOS 14 iPhone. iOS 14 isn’t even on the GM beta yet.

One day a proven leaker tells the world Apple is definitely(!!!!1) going to announce the AW Series 6 in September

The next day a proven leaker tells the world Apple is definitely not(!!!!1) going to announce the AW Series 6 in September
You’re right, this information can’t really be proven true. If only it could be posted on a site for information not yet proven true, one for things that were just possibilities, perhaps the site could even have “Rumors” in its name.

They just hate Prosser. They’re acting like L0veToDream is correct & not Prosser, when they have no idea whom is correct, if either. Then they say even Prosser backs up what Love to Dream said after Prosser said it. They just jelly (jealous).
The only people who might be “jealous” would be other leakers. People here just want reliable info.

But you’re right that Prosser isn’t well liked. Probably because he’s an ass.

I never really thought Apple would release Apple Watch 6 with a press release considering all the new features it is said to have (plus the new features coming via the new watchOS). Apple will want their Health division executives giving their pitches in person.

So I always presumed Apple Watch 6 would launch as part of the iPhone 12 event.
This is an unusual year with a purely digital WWDC. There‘s no saying they can‘t have a special Watch / iPad conference recorded. Jon did say the homepage of Apple, not the Newsroom.

Prosser was just educated guessing and now when it doesn't happen he can cover himself in the guise of "they changed the plan #covid19". apple watch is a HUGE deal to apple and the idea that won't announce it as part of a show but instead launch it by press release was to me always laughable. it also seems radically wrong that iOS 14 would come out a month or more before the first new iPhones of the year (it would have to if the Series 6 watch came out because it depends on iOS 14).

i'd love to be wrong and wearing a series 6 in the next few weeks but it isn't going to happen. late october is what i expect, things just got to messed up in the world and china this year and apple can't deliver on a coherent launch strategy in September so they are going to wait because they can afford to and it makes sense. perhaps we will get some smaller things by press release to tide us over...

I don’t care when Apple actually releases the Watch series 6, but I am curious to see what they do for case materials and bands. Now that I’ve had my series 5 for almost a year, I‘m far more comfortable thinking about upgrading to a stainless or titanium version. I went with the Sport aluminum model because I wasn’t sure how much I’d wear and use it, that I didn’t want to commit to a more expensive version.

I may even simply upgrade to a 5 version in titanium (I like this alternative material option more than stainless), once the 6‘s are released and can hopefully score a deal on one.

I don't think we're seeing anything before October. Can't see such a big change to the iPad Air happening before the iPhone 12. I think October/November is the month we will see everything.

Honestly I could see Apple releasing a new iPad (Air) via press release and a video on Apple's website (like Craig did for the iPad Magic Keyboard).

Makes sense. Don't Apple Watch & iPhone announcements coincide?

Yes, that has been the case for some time now.

True, but in general the iPhone and Apple Watch have been announced together at the iPhone event and I think that would be the same this year. That being said, if Watch OS7 and the Apple Watch 6 are ready now, I could see Apple releasing them with presentation videos on Apple's website to give the press something to talk about while we wait for the iPhone 12 in October and then talk about the Watch and WatchOS again in October during the iPhone event.

L0vetodream has gotten quite a lot of things correctly in the past few months when it comes to upcoming Apple announcements and releases. It’s understandable his profile looks a bit sketchy - obviously he’s trying to avoid getting into trouble for sharing the information he has.
When it comes to the Watch release, based on the registration of the new Watch models in the Eurasian database, the progress with watchOS 7 and the rumours that iOS 14 and watchOS 7 are still scheduled to be released in September, I’m inclined to believe that Jon Prosser will turn out to be correct in this case. If Watch is ready to be shipped, I don’t see a reason why Apple would lose a month of sales. A press release for an incremental update seems fine.

I think the Series 6 will have enough health-tracking benefits to get me to upgrade from my Series 4 and if I do, I'm pretty positive I will stick with Space Black Stainless Steel because I love how it looks and feels and I have modified the lugs on my Classic Buckles to match.

When does this site stop giving Jon Prosser attention? He's obviously of the mantra of "throw enough sh** on the wall, and some of it will stick"

He steals others (right or wrong) information & claims it as his own. It’s been proven before.

Really? I’ve not seen that at all. I’ve followed his tweets and videos for about a year, and I definitely believe he has done genuine insider contact, and he has accurately leaked several hardware releases with zero mistakes, that others have not.

When it comes to dates and even times, I believe Prosser. He got the iPhone SE date, MacBook Pro and the new iMac correct. Impressively he even announced the time and tweeted up until the very minutes they were announced.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Remember when he said iOS was going to be renamed to iPhone OS?

how has your series 5 aluminum held up over the year... how is the case and the ion glass? i'm actually considering the opposite of you... i've always purchased SBSS apple watches and am considering trying to get the "cheap" no gps series 6 this year as an experiment AND because i am fairly certain the series 7 in 2021 will come with the first visible form factor change since series 4 and that will for sure get me to upgrade yet again so might as well go cheap now... apple watch retains very little resale value so a quickly upgraded stainless model really is a bit of a $$$ waste.
