I currently have an Anti-Glare film.
I love the fact that it makes the screen smudge free and everything, but I really don't like how it makes the colors look.
I'm gonna order a Crystal film from the Apple Store. Doesn't matter for the smudges, I had the first iPhone without any film so I'm used to it.

I ended up replacing the anti-glare also. After looking at my iPod Touch with the crystal film, I couldn't stand the loss of clarity on the iP3g. Picked up the new one at the Apple store. PS must have changed the film a bit. The new one is less prone to finger prints and smudge. Its much more resistant, which is great. :)

Happy to see I'm not the only one to think that :)
Unfortunately, here in France the only store selling the PS Crystal Film is the online Apple Store, and with the shipping costs it makes it €25. That's about $39 ! :( But hey, we're kind of used to it with Apple.

I don't believe it. You can line up the ear speaker. But I don't believe you can flow the rest of the film on perfectly as it will either tilt toward one side or the other.

I spent 20 minutes apply and re-apply my PS film, and after my best attempt the gap along the top is still perhaps 1/5mm larger than the bottom gap. So if the film is exactly the same size of the screen there would have been a 1/5mm overhang on the bottom.

If you really did apply the film perfectly, perhaps you can show us the technique. But just "lay the film down and it flows on perfectly".. sorry I do not believe that.

You should really read the post a little more closely. He stated that the DLO is the easier skin to apply because there is no gap. He stated that the PS was the film that took him a long time to apply because he had to reposition it many times.

Actually the lack of gap on the DLO makes them really easy to apply. I got my first one on, on the first attempt. They are cut very precisely and all I did was line up the ear speaker and the rest flowed on perfectly. There is little to no room to position it incorrrectly, the phone basically acts as a guide. Compare that to PS and I had to reposition it many times because it has a lot more gap.

I just hope mine won't take that much effort to apply. I've got a PS Anti-Glare coming in the mail, but reading all these posts has made me a bit nervous...

Yeah yeah yeah I'm sure he can score a basket on the first dry when the hoop is so small there is no gap between the rim and the ball.

Believing everything you read is worse than not reading anything at all.

Having no gap makes it far easier to apply. So long as you are lined up at a corner with the border you know your good. Trust me, I applied both, the DLO is much easier to nail the first time. The gap leaves room for mis-alignment

I have a PS regular on my 3g iPhone and love it. I too have noticed it doesn't smudge quite so easily. Good money spent.

I just got the antiglare screen protector and like it. While it does give the screen a rather grainy look, it nearly eliminates smudges and fingerprints. Took me all of minutes to put on and it fit perfectly.

I had the PS anti-glare on my iPod touch, so naturally I wanted another one for the iPhone. I had to leave town before being able to get one, so my mom gave me her extra Crystal film as a stop-gap for 10 days. Comparing it to the anti-glare (which I bought today), I have to say that I really love the smudge-proofness of the anti-glare. The screen was sharper with the Crystal, but I really cannot stand the smudges from my fingers and from pressing it against my face. (I am a girl after all... I wear makeup.) The anti-glare film makes the images on the screen look a bit "soft," but it's hardly noticeable once you get used to it.

I'm thinking of getting a iStyles skin for the back. I think it kinda sucks that PS didn't include a film for the back, as they do with the iPod touch films. Gotta boo them for that.
