After trade in with Verizon it’s $400 - iPhone 12 Pro Max to iPhone 13 Max, is it worth it?
Only you can answer that. It is not a major upgrade but there are improvements. Whether those improvements are worth 400 to you is a personal decision. I am upgrading from the 12 Pro to the 13 Pro.

You can knock off about $35 for a year’s worth of wear on the battery. Then you’re basically at €1/day for the next year to have the latest iPhone.

I'm in the iPhone Upgrade Program but leaving since I'm not with a major carrier anymore, and I can't complete the pre-preorder since the continue option is disabled when I choose to set carrier up later. You can leave the program with a standard order, you send your current model in and they close the loan, then you buy new model outright.

I don't understand why Apple partners with scummy carriers for this program, let alone the additional $30 on the price. You're buying the iPhone unlocked and making payments through CitizensOne and need loan approval. Why the carriers are involved past setting up the line for you is beyond me.

It gets worse. The link "Save time at iPhone pre-order. Get the prep work done now, then speed through checkout on 9.17" does not work at all on the Veterans and Military Store.

So those of us who severed our country will need to be up and ready to order tomorrow morning at 5am Pacific Time.

I spent hours on the phone yesterday trying to get Apple to understand that the link in broken, which they finally acknowledged, but have done nothing about.

Mine fixed itself. Anyone know if there is a way to take Apple care off of a Citizens One monthly preorder? I'd rather not delete it and go through another credit check.

Yeah I was confused by this as well. Just wanted to do the Apple upgrade program, there is no reason to link to Verizon other than for them to get their activation blood money. The only way to avoid that is to buy the phone in full, but I really dislike the hassle of selling the phone every year and would rather just turn it in to Apple.

You should be able to take it off before placing the actual order tomorrow. All you did today was preselect your options. So you can still make changes before completing the order.

Not having Apple care on the Apple Upgrade Program is not an option

My experience with iUP is that you have to use AppleCare+ for your loan. Since you haven't forked over the entire price, the AppleCare+ is almost a safeguard for CitizensOne/Apple in the event you destroy the phone, default on loan etc.

I used to be with Verizon and I didn't mind it, but my brother racked up more than he could handle on our plan so we switched. When I looked at selling my 12 Pro, I could maybe net $100 on top after paying the remainder of my CitizensOne balance, and selling fees. It would be nice if iUP wasn't tied to carriers, I'd rather pay the lousy $30 price difference if I could get it unlocked through iUP even.

Edit: What I ended up doing was pay off my CitizensOne balance and then set up my preorder with my 12 Pro as trade-in. Either way I would've had to pay what was owed, so this way it makes my 13 Pro Max seem half-priced.

Yeah I didn't get an option to take it off during checkout just now.
