I didn't buy any Apple product last year and therefore didn't receive a year subscription to Apple TV+. I paid the yearly fee ($50) and have not been disappointed. I agree with a previous poster that it would be prudent of Apple to release the Apple One bundles prior to subscription expirations.

The Morning Show was... fine, nothing special.

Raven‘s Banquet was great.

Defending Jacob was meh.

Nothing else worth even exploring on there. We subscribe to EVERYTHING, but we’ll definitely let this lapse once we’ve watched Greyhound at some point in the next two weeks.

Agreed.

Check out Tehran. I think it’s one of the best shows this fall.

Thanks for the reminder to cancel it. While we liked a couple thins on it, I can't justify the cost, even at only $5/month.

Horrible idea to post a reminder. stock price is more important than these broke bums who cant afford $4.99

There's a big difference between not being able to afford $4.99/month and choosing not to pay it because we don't think it's worth it. I'm pretty sure my stock portfolio will be just fine.

It’s improved in leaps and bounds. But they have their work cut out in such a crowded market.

I'm not sure. It's apparent Apple TV+ is intended to be a complimentary product like Amazon Prime Video is. No one looks at what Amazon is doing with their TV arm and says " they have their work cut out for them," but they're not doing significantly more than Apple is at this point. I think they both have similar models in mind.

Does free trial get extended beyond original 1 year? I purchased a Mac mini and a MBP this year but I don't see my subscription extended.

Our family has enjoyed this. We plan on keeping it. We look forward to future content. Can't wait to see the Paul Rudd Tiny World series. Love stuff like that.

Looking forward to the subscription bundles already... was kinda hoping they'd be out already.

Yes, I'm holding my iPhone wrong as well. 😄

What most are trying to understand is why the content so crappy.
Just out of curiosity what shows have you tried? Admittedly I have broad tastes (I don't expect everyone to like Little Voice, for example, but I loved the **** out of it), but I know stuff like Ted Lasso, Tehran, For All Mankind, The Morning Show, and Mythic Quest were pretty well liked. Dickinson was also well liked, but for a specific demo. Several of the other shows were also fairly well demo-targeted.

And See? Well, it just sucked. And I'm I'm a sci-fi guy.

I got a year free when I bought my MacBook Pro and iPad Pro (I think) about a year back, but there was nothing on it that I was interested in, so never even bothered to claim the free year. It takes time to generate original content especially if you want to "go it alone and compete with the big boys", Apple are definately making strides in the right direction, but I don't think they're there yet, Netflix especially offers way more, as does Amazon (although Amazon are convoluted about what's included on Prime and what isn't).

so I must assume you subscribe to Netflix, Hulu, cbs, nbc and of course also have cable service with hob, epic, starz etc, oh, and of course disney+ ...

Maybe you are holding it wrong. I’m not sure.
But you are wrong if you’re seeing the TV app as the same thing as TV+.
