At least I own it, I don’t like leasing a car or a phone as I want to be in full control of my options, not the manufacturers rules and timelines

yea i always buy my iphones off craigslist but they have to be sealed. Dont want the phone to be tied to any plan or phone company.

Must have done a lot of "napping" waiting for things to load during those years. IF you get the X, naps are OUT...

The X is lightning fast.

The 3GS was ok. iMessages still worked, but Maps didn't and Safari was slow as molasses by the end.

Can you expand on why you think this? I think it is the best iPhone yet and I have had every one since the iPhone 4

What do think it needs?

So I know I already gave an answer but here's a better one now that I've used the phone for a few days.

1. Control centre is slightly too much of a stretch for me, I knew this ahead of time and it varies with people and different sized hands so it's understandable. I can use reachability and then swipe down so it's not that big of a deal, but it'd still be nicer to have an easier way to access it.

2. Reachability isn't very consistent, for me at least. Sometimes it takes a few swipes for me to get it to work.

3. Letting us change the two lock screen shortcuts. I don't know why they put a camera one there when we can just swipe to access it anyways.

4. Not so much an issue, but it'd be nice to know how many times FaceID is going to try and scan a face before locking you out. My friend picked my phone up and had it for like 10 seconds before handing it back to me and I had to enter my passcode to get in. I like the security, but I don't want to get locked out for like 15 minutes, 30 minutes or however long.

5. Not having the option to hide the home bar rather than always having it on screen apart from a few situations.

The good thing is that these are all software issues so they could potentially be fixed and are more iOS issues. But I just wish they'd be better addressed with the release of the X, that way the experience with this phone was perfect right from the get go.
