I predict iPhone 5 sales will be 5 million in the first 4 days.

Ah hell, that seals it. Unless Apple decides to come out with a surprise.

iPhone 4 is nice design. I would like a little larger screen keeping the phone current dimensions and of corse an A5 chip on it to make it much faster.

geez.. you didn't think apple was going to keep innovating did you? After a 1.0 release, that ship sails...

Now it's all about money through small refreshes and rehashes (vPhone and some dumb white iphone4 dropping shortly).

$teve Job$ bashed larger screens on phones, therefore his huge ego won't allow him to let engineers put a larger screen in any iphone from here on out.

what exactly would your "innovating" look like ? The iPhone 4 was a remarkable refresh. Groundbreaking. If it were any more different, it wouldnt even be an iPhone anymore

I know this might be a bit off topic here. You think they will let us get an early upgrades like they did with the 3GS users upgrade to iPhone 4. I was an owner of 3GS for a year and upgrade to iPhone 4 when it came out.

I think this will be the iPhone 4s or 4gs with a larger 3,7" screen, A5 cpu, both cdma/3g and probably a 64gb version... Same design of iPhone 4.

Don't do it Apple. Same form factor just shows you've run out of ideas. 5 years and 5 generations with the same design is not good.

You'll lose at least one iPhone customer.

Wouldn't the screen be pressed to easily if it went all the way to the edge?

The iPhone 4 is a really nice design no need to change it anytime soon imo. The iPhone 5 could be simply the iPhone 4S and it would still be a near perfect phone.

Things that could be added with minimal change are the A5 and the 64GB of storage that has been rumored.

same design?

These cases clearly have rounded edges on the backside + they arent bumpers.

if anything, these cases hint to a design similar to iPad2 but with less sharp curves around the edge. More similar to the powerbook. Metal (liquid?) back seems nearly certain if this case is correct.

why does nobody _look_ at the image

Maybe that is why people are finding pics of the white iPhone. Maybe it is for iPhone 5.

It does make since that they would keep the same design. They did that with the 3g to 3gs. I don't know why people would think they have to change the whole phone every year. I mean even the macbook pros have had the same design for the past couple of years. Plus when you make something everyone is buying why change it? :D

I'm getting a white iPhone 5 and having the antenna gold plated. I know I know...it'll look ridiculous.

Also, LOL@ all the people who want the iPhone to turn into some HTC type plastic rectangle. I can't stand those form factors. Where's the design? Where's the damned passion people!!?

if the case on this image is correct it's _not_ the same design.

design != form factor people

I hope to god they keep the iPhone 4 design and just flatten it and bump up the specs.

The design of the iPhone 4 is the most amazing milestone of both engineering and design, I couldn't buy another iPhone if it looked any different.

1 thing I would like is if they reduce the thickness of the glass and just make it so the side is 99.97% aluminum rim, instead of that 2mm of black plastic that holds the glass.

Right on, man. I completely agree. The current design is (almost) PERFECT, but get rid of the glass lips!

You've seen previous generations of the Iphone correct? How can you say they have kept the same design for 5 generations

HTC is the only manufacturer that uses aluminium for it's cases. Says how much you know about phones running android.

Would like to see 1gb of ram coupled with the A5. Then it will really make use of the CPU.

Other things need bumps..

8mp camera

1080p video

FaceTime hd

Larger screen

Only will these aspects make it a worthy upgrade. So essentially an iphone 4S. The IPhone 6 however will NEED to have a super AMOLED display, if we want to be amazed again. Retina + SAMOLED is jaw dropping.

So does this mean it'll be like a 4GS?

Faster processor, almost exact same in form factor.

I like my 3GS (aka 3G form factor). I like the iPhone4. I think the iPhone5 will be great.

I am still itching for the LTE iPhone though (iPhone 6?)

They'll call it the iPhone5 because it's the 5th generation device and has the A5 processor. No more 3GS naming scheme snafus (I own a 3GS, love it but the name is stupid).

Bet on it.

Are you sure you're a customer because your statement is clearly false.

I thought I saw curves in the rear as well. It didn't look like an iP4 case to me either and somewhat agree the lines are similar to the iPad2. The yellow one is a little confusing on this though. Where the case is pulled into two peices, the top of the "break" looks curved and the bottom "break" looks square.

if the case on this image is correct it's _not_ the same design.

design != form factor people

If it was not the same design how would they have the case posted for iPhone 4 or iPhone 5? Last I checked you can't use a iPhone 3GS case for iPhone 4 so it would have to be at least close enough to share the same case.

Huh? iPhone 4 was a fantastic change. It couldn't be changed much more. What else do you expect??? Flip phone????

In all likelihood, the iPhone 5 will simply be a software upgrade.
