Given the lack of actual part leaks, though, it's fair to say that Apple will unveil the iWatch (or a draft of it) with the new iPhone, but won't ship until early-mid 2015.

My guess is that want to unveil it earlier, to receive fashion feedback for minor modifications, and to steer people away from buying competing smart watches in the interim.

I don't mind if the watch is rectangular (some people here seem to have a rectangular watch allergy), but the thickness of the case on the first picture is just too much. I don't want this thing to be as bulky or heavy as a Pebble or Samsung Gear. Weight is really important for a watch - if it is so heavy that you are constantly aware of it, then it is not something I am interested in.

On the other hand, all of these could be early designs, and I would be really really surprised if Apple presented something ugly. I think they know quite well, that a watch has to be fashionable if they want to go beyond the geek market.

So the iWatch is gonna be a thick square block like every other smart watch on the market for the last 3 years...

...exept the Moto 360, that one actually looks really nice.

And can't last half a day. Whomp whomp.

Fake (imo)

I think this is fake,

if we want to trust WSJ (and I do) the device will have a flexible display;
there's simply no need for a flexible display in such a thick device.

Anybody agrees??

Funny how the leak is one day before the event, when it would receive maximum exposure for their site.

Whatever everyone's opinions are, I'd imagine it will be well designed, very functional and the possibility of it integrating with HomeKit has be foaming at the mouth!

Let's wait and see

If its a square/rectangle I honestly will be disappointed. I will definitely grab the iPhone6, the large one but this vs the Moto360 with the steel band, no brainer to me - it is suppose to be a "fashion" accessory after all.

I was hoping it would be round like the moto 360,
Lets see what tomorrow brings.

How can this leak integrate with all the voices of a foldable pled panel? a flat design doesn't necessitate of a foldable display...
For the weight aluminum is better than steel... maybe liquid metal who knows?
the form factor isn't very appealing to me...
Colors Gold, Silver , Space gray PRODUCT (RED)?

two watches shown here.... one square (smaller) watch, then a larger round watch (bcm pictures).

Yeah because a flat tire display and text being cut off looks really nice. I'm hoping Apple designed around function first and foremost. If I'm going to spend hundreds of dollars on something I want it to be useful not just look pretty with crappy battery life.

I don´t think this is a close to final part of the iWatch. It just doesn´t look "Apple like" to me.

So the flexible screen stuff was nonsense then?

Or is this just the clip with the sensors/battery etc and the screen is the strap?

So are we now going to see all anonymous posting with alleged iWatch parts?

Please MR, do yourself and us a favour and think if the design at least makes sense from an apple perspective..

i knew i shouldnt have visited macrumors today, i wanted to be really suprised tomorrow.

In other news ... it looks like Quanta wont be getting that contract after this leak.

Just kidding. Can we go back to the awful renders we've been using. They look much better all of a sudden lol.

I don't wear a watch. "Any watch" feels bulky on my wrist and I don't have thick wrists despite my height to be honest (6'2") I wonder how Apple will make me wear one. So far the only thing that got my interest was the fitness sensors. Especially a good, accurate sleep monitor could work miracles in my life. In order to wear one while sleeping and be comfy, it's gotta be light. And micro managing fitness activities has the potential to be amazing.

Sleep monitoring and wireless charging at the same time? Anybody feeling it?

Let's hope wireless charging is not putting it on some sort of dock. I want to be able to have the dock on my nightstand and wear the watch while sleeping to monitor the sleep and have the watch charging.

p.s. Also I don't wanna get cancer while doing that. lol. I guess you can't have everything huh?:)
