That really sucks about the screen issues :(

I had my launch day iPhone 4 replaced yesterday afternoon and I got a perfect phone. I don't see any interlacing or anything similar to what you guys are describing. Infact, I noticed this screen is better than my launch iPhone...

I had no idea the weather.com app had grey and black menus...they only appeared solid black with my older iPhone. It brings out a lot of the details that I couldn't see before. It seems "sharper" and more defined in terms of color and pixels.

I hope you guys get yours replaced with a perfect one. I got super lucky I guess.

Sounds like you got a dreaded "yellow" screen. Despite what some threads say, the warmer toned iPhones are actually very nice. When compared to the cool blue tinted screens, the warm screen can make the details really pop in images. Particularity in darker areas.
Surprisingly many people feel that the warm screens are defective. go figure.

Ahhh so thats what it is! It's actually VERY nice. :). Especially in photos I've taken in the past, I've noticed that the parts that were dark are now visible. The BIGGEST thing I've noticed is the colors look amazing. The whole thing really pops and I'm even more impressed than before. :D it feels like I have a newer/better screen now!

There are some screens that aren't a "warmer" color temp though but an actual 'yellow' tint that throws a lot of colors off. I've seen it on a replacement 3GS that I got and it wasn't "warm" it was literally yellow lol. I wonder if that's what they're talking about?

Either way I'm loving this version a lot!
