PCI-Express crushes AGP, PCI-X, and about every other bus there is.

i thought pci-x was short for pci express. if not, what the heck is the difference?

$20 says in a few years when pci-x is long in the tooth, agp will make a comeback as agp-x or super agp or something equally predictable and we'll all have to switch over again. so much for scalability and backward compatibility.

also, those screenshots are insane. i doubt we'll be seeing realtime global illumination soon, but even the viewport captures look excellent.

I can imagine these grapics being pulled off RT considering their statement of "not until at least 2005"

Quake...

Ummmm... I had a poster of the AppleInsider pic that came with "Ultimate Quake," I think, but it may have been DOOM: Collector's Edition...but that was like a year ago. If that's a leaked picture, it sure took someone a long time to figure that out!!!
