I'm needing to upgrade my iPhone 5 (starting to fail) and don't want to buy new headphones just because Apple got all courageous. I'd like to get a 7, but I'll need an adapter to provide a 3.5mm audio out. I see that the Apple lightning-to-3.5mm adapter doesn't get the best reviews in the world, but neither does any solution I've found. What are people using just for listening (don't need the mic side) for either a straight adapter or a adaptor/charger splitter?
