iPad Question about buying at 24 hour Walmart

Called my east coast walmart and she said they had 4 ipads, some being 16GB wifi but not sure on the colors. Told me I could come at midnight. Never know how much they really know. Just hoping I don't get there and it doesn't ring up till later tmw

I did exactly that showed up at 12am, It would not ring up and they would not override left empty handed.

Went to 6 different Wal-Marts in Houston (I wanted to beat the system)

2 said they never heard of them.
1 said they'll get them in 3 weeks
2 showed me a piece of paper that said they can't sell them until 8 am
1 actually brought it out and tried to ring it up, but couldn't get it to checkout.

You win tonight Apple (shakes fist in the air)

I wasted a trip to Walmart about 45 minute drive both ways because the girl on the phone in Electronics said they were selling at midnight.. I get there and it won't ring up because there's a 8am lock on it. Luckily they accepted their fault and held a black 32gb for me behind the counter.. I just got back home from getting it..

Just got back from the Partridge Creek Walmart and they had both 16 and 32GB in White and Black. They actually opened the shipping box for me and handed me an Air. So I was the very first one to grab one at that store. They still have more if anyone's interested.

Just for grins I went to Walmart at 7:00 a.m. when the electronics department is supposed to open.

The electronics clerk was late due to the snow we had overnight. However there were three other store employees trying to help. (One of them was just vaguely familiar with the iPad Air.) After looking under the counter and in the back of the store they couldn't find any iPad Airs.

It's about what I expected. Our Walmart has never been so great when it comes to electronics. A little disappointed but not surprised, I came home and ordered from Apple online.

Showed up at our Walmart at about 7:40. Only one other person was there waiting and a third showed up about 8:10. Our store only had 6 iPad Airs (2 white 16gb, 2 black 16gb, one white 32gb and one black 32gb...all wifi only) and they couldn't sell them until 8:00. Cashier was very friendly, told us what she had, tried to ring them up about 9 minutes early with no luck. All in all, it went very smoothly and I saved $20 so I was pleased! Waiting on all my apps to download as we speak.

Also bought the Kensington KeyFolio Exact with Keyboard case to try out and I think I'm going to like it. Definitely adds weight to the iPad (of course) but it's very versatile with lots of different viewing angles and an easily removable keyboard that is also easy to type on.
