Ok, so that's 6 people from 50-80 people you know, and those 6 are probably the ones that have a friend with Android, so yeah, the average user doesn't ask for stuff like that.

I'm honestly starting to thing you're just a troll, and why does it matter if I have friends that have Android. Regardless, it's a wanted feature, you might not care (it's obvious you don't), but a LOT of people to do.

Troll?? I've been banned on this site for calling "that" to people like you, I really hope the mods do their job with you.

Also, how am I a troll, I'm with Apple, in an Apple forum, you are with android in an Apple forum, do the math buddy.

A wanted feature from Android lovers, and to quote myself "Ok, if I'm so wrong, how come Apple is taking this long in introducing a feature like that, don't you think this "Quick Reply" has come in an Apple's meeting, even tested it, and in the end they just concluded "Not now, still not for everybody" or some conclusion like that.

You're talking to me like if I was the guy that gives the OK to implement this feature, LOL.
"

Look, read my posts, I never said it was stupid or that nobody wanted this feature, all I said was "what's the big deal", some people are even changing to Android because of this.

And if I'm a troll, then Apple is the biggest troll of all time for not implementing this feature in iOS 7.

What doesn't make any sense is that this feature is WAAAAAAAY more useful on an iOS device than on Mac OS X for most people. On a big screen its much faster to have multiple windows open to just quickly reply to anything. On iOS we are in a single window experience so why not an overlay like with "tap to tweet" and "tap to post"? It makes even more sense on an iPad. Just saying.....

Haha!! Make it happen, now Mr. Apple!!!
I don't doubt that your right about it coming up in a meeting already, especially since quick reply made its way into Mavericks. I'm hoping they are just trying to perfect it like they did with copy and paste. That was a feature that took a long time to make it into iOS and I'm sure it was brought up right from the get go.

Hahahahaha, and probably they are working on it, and yes, it probably could be a nice little addition to iOS 7, on the other hand, you have to think like Apple, not like someone who wants million of new features, maybe Apple is thinking right now, "for some people, iOS 7 will be a big change and if we include a feature like that could be too much for them, lets just wait for them to get used to iOS 7 and will added later" or maybe they are saving it for a 7.1 7.2 update or even an 8 release as a "new revolutionary feature"

Even people that want "Quick Reply" so desperate, don't agree on how to implement it in iOS 7, so in the end, maybe Apple is really working on it but they just need time to figure out the best way to bring it to iOS, since is already in Mavericks, and with the whole integration of iOS and OS X maybe it's just a matter of time before we see it in iOS

I completely agree with you on that add a million features thing. I'm not one of those people who thinks Apple needs to add features for the sake of adding features. I simply believe that this one feature is worth adding because it improves the experience in numerous ways while at the same time making it easier to use. I understand what you are saying about changing a lot in ios 7 and maybe it being too much, but i honestly believe that quick reply makes the experience easier for these users. Think about how much less the user has to do to complete the same task. Banner notification pops up with "reply" in blue on the right hand side. You click reply. Type your response. Hit send. Continue doing what you were doing. The current workflow includes all of that plus double tapping the home button and tapping the app preview for the app you were using when you received the notification. I think the user would immediately see the the benefit of this feature. It allows them to do the same thing with fewer steps. I don't think that would take more than one use to "adjust" to.

Ps. Thanks for this discussion. It's fun and respectful. Not necessarily the internet norm. I'm recovering from knee surgery right now so this has been helping to make the time go by. Thanks.

See, that's the thing, you said "I simply believe that this one feature is worth adding" and in another thread about something else there's someone saying that same thing, and another and another, everyone has a point on why add a new thing, but in the end it would come up to 100 new little things, this is Apple, we know how they work, they don't let us customize our phones and don't give us too many options, they give us what they think it's better for our user experience and I think by now, they have done an excellent job, would it be enough in the future, well, only time will tell..

Hope you get better soon.

I see what you mean about adding everyone's suggestion. One thing I will point out though is almost everyone's list of suggestions has one feature in common: quick reply. That has to mean something. But like you said, that's where you have to trust apple to make the best choice for the user. Based on the fact that quick reply is in mavericks, I can only assume that they see value in the concept. Hopefully, it's just a matter of time until they figure out the best way to implement it in iOS.

Just a wee bit confused here, how am I with Android again?

None of this has anything to do with Android, how good or bad a feature is, of how many or few people might want or use it. Apple will release something when and if they feel they should for whatever reason. Just because some people don't see any value in it means absolutely zero to Apple.

Time to move on and stop pointlessly beating a dead horse already.

Here you go again buddy, you are ten minutes to late, this conversation was over 40 minutes ago when I posted this.

Yup, it's all pretty much irrelevant to Apple. Including if someone might think whether some feature is a big deal or not.

Who the **** is with android here? You are the one bringing up android over and over, OSX Mavericks has quick reply and thats an APPLE product, WOW imagine that! Just because we want a feature that some other os might also have, doesn't mean we are on androids side! I know damn well I'm not!

EDIT: I just went back and looked at every post, even searched all 3 pages and YOU are the only one that brought up android. The only one.
