RadioShack Preorder

Did the same thing. Expecting mine on friday. Said id be in by 7PM but I may come at 8AM when they open just in case.
 
I worked at Radio Shack during the iPhone 4 launch last year. To say the least, Radio Shack is NOT a very good source to order an iPhone from. I preordered my iPhone 4 there and in the extra 3 months I was there, it never arrived at the store. Actually we recieved no iPhones at all.I was the only one at my store (customers and employees) to pre order.

I suggest looking into other options.
 
I pre ordered with them as well. I wasnt even gonna get a 4s till the weekend came around and basically said screw it why not.. i got 2 extra upgrades to use and someone wanted to buy my ip4. At that point it was a no brainer. I did want to try to get one on launch without without waiting in line and apple was sold out .. Figured its worth the shot... If not, i'll wait a couple weeks n order from apple, att or try the walk- in thing.. not that serious if they dont have it..

Fingers crossed that they do have it!!:D
 
I was there at the Shack when we had iPhone 4 preorders. This year is different. If you notice, last year you didn't have to buy a $50 deposit or gift card. I've spoken to the DM, to the reps and they say it's going to be released at launch. They even had a con call to tell the customers who preorder the 4S that the phone WILL be in store by the 14th and they have 3 days to pick it up. We should get the phones Thursday. I'll be sure to let you guys know.
 
Only for 16 and 32

I just came from a RS and they only do preorders for 16 and 32 capacities. They offer 64gb only as "direct2u". I want to make sure I get my 64 in hand morning of. I guess I'll be in line early
 
Last November, I bought 2 iPhone 4's from Radio Shack using RS gift cards and within a couple of weeks, they dropped their price by $50.00 for a limited time. I went in to the store and was able to get $100.00 plus tax back on a RS gift card.

I still had one line eligible for an upgrade and decided to wait it out for the next iPhone. So, I went in on the 7th and used my RS gift card to reserve my iPhone 4S. Like several others have mentioned, they are stating that anyone that pre-orders the iPhone 4S will be able to pick up on the 14th - 16th. Only time will tell.
 
I just went in to preorder a 4s today as well. I was also on the "waiting list" last year which was written in pencil on a blank piece of paper. They eventually called about a week after launch and said they had my phone. I already got 1 somewhere else so i told them to F off. This year they seemed to have their ****** together, made a $50 deposit signed a more official looking preorder form, was told the phone WILL be there on launch and i have 3 days to pick it up, and they even rang up a SKU for a 32gb white ip4s.

After last years fiasco i have no reason to believe they will actually have a phone for me on launch day, which is why i have also preordered at best buy, and an ATT store.:D Good luck everyone!

I pre-ordered an iphone 4s yesterday. Radio Shack told me that was the last day you could do preorders. Looks like that isn't even right, if people are still doing them today.

I have no faith that I will get my phone on Friday. I hope RS proves me wrong. I have a back up plan for Sam's Club, but they are only getting in black phones.
 
I pre-ordered mine at Target which I found out was run by Radio Shack. Similar story about the phone arriving on the 14th with a 3 day window to pick up. I also put a $50 deposit. Only 16 or 32GB were available as well.

Throwing my hat in the ring.

Ordered two iPhones today at radio shack. (16 and 32 white 4S)
Signed some forms, they stapled a bunch of sheets together, I got 2 $50 gift cards and my receipts as confirmation. I was told MULTIPLE times that yes I would 100% get the phones on launch day.

I believe them because my wife and I originally asked for black iPhones but the system would no longer let them order them, so we were fine with white. This makes me believe that they are working with real inventory and not empty promises.

Also, I recorded audio of the entire visit so I'd have their promises on record. ; )

Good luck to us all.

They will be there at launch if you preordered before or on the 10th. And yes, Radioshack has ran out of the iPhone 32GB in black when I last checked today.
 
Is radioshack able to transfer an upgrade? I mean if someone else on my plan has an upgrade but not me can they move it over like att?

Radioshack apple shipment

Does anyone know what time Radioshack should get the apple shipment today?

Just hoping to ease my mind soon :confused:
 
by the end of the day.. i would assume its like anyone else waiting for their shipment to come in, if its scheduled to arrive it should be there at some point today...:confused: .. Wishful thinking!
 
:cool:Yes, I am just hoping I know for sure before I go to bed tonight. That way I can go to plan B. I really don't want to stand in line. My upgrade was not available on the 7th for preorder with apple.
 
If I'm not eligible to upgrade until Saturday, would I be able to preorder at Radioshack and pick it up on Sat? Verizon, Apple, etc have not let me preorder even though my upgrade falls one day short of the launch :mad:
 
Check with your local Radioshack. I know mine did not meet quota, so they are expecting extras. They did not check my upgrade status. I just paid the 50.00 and had them hold my phone. You have to pick your phone up by 10/16
 
That's what I'm kind of hoping for, they don't really check, I just preorder the phone therefore it can't be sold, and pick it up first thing Saturday when I'm technically eligible. Just don't want this to backfire and lose $50
 
My RS checked my eligibility first thing before they let me pay for the preorder.
 
Well there goes that theory, either way I'm going to drop in my local store later today to see what they can do
 
Radioshack notified me my phone was in.

Gonna ask my friend if i can pick it up today.
