I went to RS last year for the iphone 4 and was the first person on the pre-order list. As of this posting, I'm still waiting on it to come in. That's why I went straight to apple this year and right now my 4S is sitting 20 min away with a del time for 1030-1200 tomorrow.. I really hope it works out for you..

It is because of the fiasco last year....I was so leary. The manager is really nice at my local radioshack. If he says it is there, I believe him. He also said he is getting more in tomorrow morning. Corporate called and said to be there earlier than usual for an additional iphone 4s shipment. I have a feeling there will be a surplus this year. I would like him more if he would let me have it early today, but rules are rules.
Just called the RS i preodered at.. He said they are still pre-ordering but only have black 16gbs in stock. I told him i already preordered and he said "then we have your phone in the store" and that i can pick it up tomorrow! i understand there was a lot of confusion last year and the guys in the store didnt even know what was going on until that morning came and there were no phones. So i think we might be safe this year! unless i was just told a blatant lie lol

I'm in Palm Springs CA - Ordered Monday after reading this forum (thanks all). The manager just called me today and they are both at the store - I also ordered one for a family member. Black 16GB - So glad I will not be waiting in line at the AT&T store tomorrow because the manager at AT&T told me there is always a line for iPhone launches (even here in the desert). Kudos to Radio Shack for working it out this year. I've been following their twitter page and they seem to be on top of it. By the way, there was only like one other person here in Palm Springs that pre-ordered through RS as of Monday morning. Good luck all.

I need to know that they have it in my store so that i don't have to line up at the apple store. If they have not receive the phones today by 8:00pm i will line up at the apple store to make sure i get the phone. Don't know what will happen to the gift cards i purchased. Don't need a refund i am sure i can find some things to buy at RS but most importantly iPhone 4s.

Just got off the phone with RS, and they said that if you pre-order before the 10 then you will get it on Friday. Like myself i order the 11 and i ask if they have the iPhone shipments on hand yet they said no and even try to tell me that the phone will come in on Saturday for me.
Just goto the att store or apple store can't go wrong there. See you in line
i pre order on 7 and they said that i was the second one how pre order it the girl say that i have it by tomorrow but reading some comment's about last year i really scared lol
I live in the Maryland (Wash DC) area and I called seven Radio Shacks within 20 miles of my home and was told the exact same thing. Each Radio Shack I called will not have the iPhone 4S for Sprint on launch. Six of them said they can't even take pre-orders. They will only have the iPhone 4 for Sprint at launch. Please be very careful when you talk to RS employees. Be sure you ordered the 4s and not the 4 (if you indeed ordered a 4s). This may not be the case all over the country of course, but it doesn't help to verify. Good luck!

RadioShack should be getting the iPhone 4S for Sprint within the next two weeks, but we won't have it at launch. We will only have the iPhone 4 for Sprint. Preorders literally started today and were being told that Sprint iPhone 4 ordered today will be overnight express shipped for Saturday delivery at the latest...
Btw... The store I work at only had 15 preorders and were getting in 20 phones or so... people may want to check in at a RadioShack to see if they're getting any extras in your area...

My buddy works at Radioshack so I preordered there. He said I'm guaranteed the phone tomorrow and that the phones are already at the store
glad to hear the news about RS. I pre-ordered on the 8th @ my local store. The guy seemed confident they were getting them in this friday. After hearing the stories about last year i got worried. But i just got off the phone with them and was assured my phones are in and ready to be picked up tmr. My ip4 and wifes 3gs are now going on craigslist..
Just called my local RS and the guy that answered told me that they did not have the phones but I will definitely have my pre-ordered 4S ready for pick-up tomorrow.

Found Out About Radio Pre Order Yesterday
So I came across over a website saying how you can pre order the iPhone 4S for $50 deposit at Radio Shack and it will be at the store on Oct 14th. Today I called before I went in, I really wanted the 32gb but they have sold out. So instead I ordered the 16gb.. I paid the $50 and when I left with my receipt and looked it over at lunch time, I see it says I should have been given a $50 gift card to be used to buy the phone tomorrow. I called the store and they said don't worry they keep that there. Hmmm.. I am reading others got their gift card, why didn't I? I am upset over this. I am pretty sure they received the iPhones 4s while I was there, because they had received about 3 large boxes from FED EX and they were really excited about the shipment. The manager seemed very sure that it will be there tomorrow. I just hope I don't have any issues with the gift card I paid for. I have to agree with most of the gang, Radio Shack is not classy one bit. The salesman kept telling me the iphone sucks and how android is master of the universe, he even tried to sell me one instead of the iphone..

I woke up early to run to my RaidoShack to pick up my pre-ordered verizon iPhone 4s, called them and they said verizons shipment hasn't arrived yet and will arrive either today or tomorrow. bummer.

Just got a call from radio shack. FedEx has not arrived. Said that they were sent priority so they SHOULD arrive before 12:00. But I am loosing faith. First it was 9:00. Now 10:00. Now 12:00... Soon to be tomorrow if not later I fear.
