I woke up this morning, to the news that my aunt and uncle had an inch of water in their basement. The float switch for the sump pump got stuck, so my parents brought our shop vac, and our old pool cover pump (yay for mesh! :D) up there to help out. I think the weird part is, they live about 50-60 vertical feet above us, about 1/8 of a mile up the street.

Rain, rain go away,
come again another day,
I was down in it,
now I'm up above it

A little NIN.

Yeah, and it was ****ing bright as all hell.

But now, all the rain north of here has made its way south. I got called into work this morning, because the Blackstone River (probably the third or fourth most important river in American History) flooded and made one of the local Stop & Shops close. So, instead of their normal customers going to one of the other S&S's within 15 minutes of there, they decide to come to our store, which is half the size. Busiest Sunday I've seen in a while, and the only other days that beat it the two days before Thanksgiving (mob scene :() and right before last winter's blizzard (lines to the back of the store  )
