Reactions when you show off iOS 7

My fiancee thinks it looks child-like, she doesn't like the bright colors. I don't mind them so much. She does like some of the feature improvements so she'll play around with my phone for the next few months to see if the features are worth it for her to upgrade.

Besides her, I work with several other Apple nerds who saw that I had it, and immediately asked how they could get it. I've even had people speak up on several flights asking if I work for Apple after seeing my phone. A lot of people seem pretty excited about it.

My ridicuouls statement is simply a fact. That's what I've seen in my experience, which is the point of this thread. :rolleyes: I'm not making any grand generalizations out of it, and I didn't think it would offend older people, but I guess it did.

Haha yes multiple people, I know of at least 4 off the top of my head. These are different friends in different states and countries too. I would have thought more average users too but apparently not.

Friends loved it! Got a lot of "Wow!" and "OMG" with it!

You paid if you downloaded iOS7 through apple, if you didn't then you stole it.

People actually like it surprisingly. It's different and people like different.
 
Just showed it to my aunt who is aged 45+

Her first reaction: "It's pretty." while looking at the new icons.

"Everything is so grey and white." while looking inside apps.
 
Most everyone I've showed it to seems to really love it. Women seem to REALLY LOVE the new color scheme and look. What's shocked me is how many people know about iOS 7 and are anxious to see the changes. They know how to use Control Center as soon as I hand it to them and it's typically the first thing they do. It makes me think that some of us, myself included, obsess over certain details more than we should, because Apple is obviously doing something right if so many people are having such a positive reaction to a somewhat dramatically new iOS.

No, no, no, you can still upgrade! My phone recently had a one night stand with some gorgeous Android bimbo while running iOS 7. There's no way he's gay!

I sent a screenshot of a message conversation to my best friend and within an hour he had paid for a developer account and installed it just off that one screenshot. (all guys btw, even though that doesn't really matter)

There are ways of getting iOS7 without paying for a dev account!
