The Tim Cook supporters must be thrilled to read such a memo from the new CEO that sounds so similar in generic corporate-style wording, just like Cook’s memos.

Cook supporters are probably hoping that John Ternus will be another Tim Cook and not another Steve Jobs. Cook supporters think higher profits always means higher quality products.

I’m really hoping that although Ternus’s memo is generic just like Cook’s memos, his products won’t be generic like Cook’s products. We’ll have to wait and see.

Yeah... 1+ Billion happy/repeat customers, making Apple one of the most successful consumer tech companies in the world ($416 Billion sales in 2025).
By that same logic, Microsoft Vista must have been a higher quality OS than Mac OS X Snow Leopard because Vista sold far more copies and made far more money than Snow Leopard, and Microsoft at the time was far more successful in terms of far higher sales profits than Apple.

So, Tim Cook fans, do you think Microsoft products (software and hardware) were better than Apple products during that time? Do you think Steve Ballmer was a better CEO than Steve Jobs?

Cook supporters are incapable of seeing their hypocrisy and double-standards.

Snow Leopard was released in 2009 under Steve Jobs.

Microsoft 2025 sales: $287 Billion

Apple 2025 sales: $416 Billion

Hope you are doing as well as Steve. Please put innovation rather than money making as top priority. Please release a new redesigned MacBook Pro 16" this or next month.
I think I can speak for most of the other shareholders and say that he needs to innovate for the purpose of making money, not just for the sake of innovation. Xerox innovated at the PARC and invented a great many of the things we take for granted in personal computing, but they failed to monetize their innovations and now are all but gone.

Oh that is a sad story.

The mid term follow up to this will be interesting. Every company writes something like this during a "transition" period and next thing you know, McKinsey gets you laid off

I have a bad feeling about this guy. Isn’t he the one who stubbornly defended the butterfly keyboard for years ?
