If Dave thinks this laptop is expensive, just wait until people see the price tag on the all new, OLED screen, 16" rumored to be coming.

All I kniw is that people who write used to test the macs, and thise that could not afford one started saving. Nowadays people test the keyboard and flinch.

Add to that quality issues.

Really? Step 9, bullet point 3:

"Meanwhile, the fundamental problem with this laptop remains—if the slightest thing ever goes wrong, you’ll be replacing half the machine. Even if the keyboard is perfect this time, you’re taking a gamble on everything else. Our advice? Save your money."

Um, they are saying if the keyboard breaks you are replacing a large part of the machine. Nowhere do they pass any type of judgment on whether Apple fixed the problem. I invite you to read it again.

I never said that they did. Nor did the link I included say they did. I said what you quoted "iFixit still feels the biggest fundamental problem is unsolved, not sure about the reliability and failure rates yet."

iFixit says:
"Meanwhile, the fundamental problem with this laptop remains—if the slightest thing ever goes wrong, you’ll be replacing half the machine.

THAT is the biggest fundamental problem.

Neither what I said or what iFixit said passes any judgment on whether or not Apple fixed the problem resulting in the keyboards to fail. Nobody knows at this point in time. Too early to tell.

They did however basically give the laptop a "not recommended."

You posted a link to a Thurott story which was all about the keyboard, and implied it was still not fixed. But whatever, no need to continue arguing the point.

You are right, there isn't any sense in it, because the implications are strictly your own interpretation.
