Not trackpad button? That's not going to go very well. I know a number of people who hate tapping and multitouch isn't going to improve that.

Obviously u have never taken a pic with an iphone, heh

At least it wasn't all chopped apart and in strips like the Camera does sometimes.

I'm not a fan of tap to click (actually, I hate it since I tend to fidget), but, to be honest, I saw it coming. I'm not surprised (clearly not pleased, but it's not exactly a deal breaker).

What would be really slick is if that entire trackpad were a physical button or if the bottom edge could be designated a click-only zone (which multi-touch makes possible), though, to appease those of us that don't like tap to click.

Now that I think about it, there's a lot of possibilities if Apple let you designate edges of the trackpad for certain functions. Clicker, different Expose modes... Especially if there were a sub-display under that trackpad. I guess there's some freedom to be had in getting rid of the button.

can anyone who deals with photography tell me why the top (meaning the screen) is perfectly clear towards the top and the keyboard is so blurred you cannot even see a power button?

why is the right side in focus and the left side is so blurry..i don't buy it
Have you ever snapped a quick pic with your iPhone? Like, say, when you're in the BOH of an Apple Store you work at the day before a major launch and want to take a picture when the ICS person sneaks open a new product but you really rather not get fired doing it?

The iPhone camera sucks, esp if you're moving your hand in the slightest when you're taking the pic.

 That thing is SEXY!

If this is real, I'm really not impressed. I was hoping for a new machine with a matte screen option and a neutral silver screen bezel, like the old machines. Change anything else, but if I'm working on photos I need colour accuracy, and this just won't provide that.

Looks like I'll probably be buying one of the current-gens if someone will sell it.

AMEN

As much as this seems legit, I hope it is not, or at the very least that the trackpad button would be an option. I don't hate tap to click, but I do prefer the actual button more. What was wrong with the tiny MBA button? Couldn't they have kept that design?

Did you ever try using that button? it was disastrous. I could never manage to make it work properly when setting up MBAs for my university.

Have they officially dropped matte? The 15" MBPs on display at the store near me are all glossy, but they stock matte machines in back for purchase as well.

If you look at the image, the entire screen and bezel are sealed together, just like the iMacs, which do not come in a matte option. I can't see them making the screen and bezel all matte as well, but it would be wonderful if they did.

Also, I hate using multi-touch tap rather than the button. This is turning out to be a let-down if this picture is real.

Im actually a fan of the current MBP trackpad button, why is that not here?:(

Wow. That looks SLICK!

I really like the look of the black and silver together. This ties the colors together a heck of a lot better than on the MBA. (must be the iMac-ish bezel)

As someone who NEVER uses the trackpad button, I really like the idea of the trackpad being button-less. Single-tap click, double-finger-single-tap right click...add the double tap lock and some side and bottom scrolling functionality and you're set! (although I usually just use and external mouse) ;)
