Well we will see when i will recieve the replacment phone.

And how will you know it's brand new from factory or remanufactured? All white box replacement iPhones from Apple have at least a brand new screen, outer shell and battery and you can no longer discriminate based on serial numbers like in the old days.

This time of the year, after the holidays there's a greater chance of a refurbished replacement. However, apples refurbs have many new parts such as screen, case, battery. Etc. And it's run through a more rigorous check before it goes back out
There's really no way to know for sure as Apple got smart and doesn't have a dedicated serial number for returns any more

So i can't find out if it is a refurbished model? Too bad :(

At least i hope the new phone wouldn't have dead pixels or scuff ans scratches around the phone.

i have had iphones since 2008 and this is the very first time i have experienced such a faulty device from factory... :(

Again, they get a brand new screen and outer shell so no scuffs and scratches. Dead pixels are swappable under warranty and they're no more likely than retail boxes. Iat it's your first replacement iPhone you'll be pleasantly surprised.

As long as it's s fully functional iPhone without cosmetic blemishes your good to go
