Yes her tracking number was consistently updated until the time it reached our door. I was half hoping he'd have two packages for us but no such luck. So I guess that rules out the "big collections of packages going to one state" theory. Mine still currently says anchorage.
We are both in pennsylvania if anyone cares! Her iPad did make the trek from anchorage to pa in one day though so if mine is released today I should get it tomorrow ... Still a day earlier than their estimate.
Right as the ability to order came online (3:42AM EST/12:42AM PST).

As i stated before spoke to Fed EX and that is a mistake on their part, it has not cleared yet
I guess I'll have to think of some way to play with the smart cover without an actual iPad 2
You could play "metal/not metal" all over your house.
I'm getting my cover on Friday, who knows when the iPad will arrive. The box will go from the delivery driver's hands and straight into the garage without even being opened.

3G Models Slow Shipping?!
It looks to me that there's a lot of people with 3G models that are having to wait the longest. I ordered my 64GB wifi/3G model at exactly 1am(4amEST) and it hasn't gone anywhere. It hasn't even shipped yet. The lady at Apple told me that it is probably not updating properly because of what's going on in Japan because it is shipping from overseas... Who knows... that gives me a little hope. She did, however, send me a free set of earbuds with the mic... call in and see if they'll do that for you. It doesn't get you an iPad... but it gets you an extra set of earbuds.

So I saw another post about someone calling apple and getting there shipping upgraded for free. So I called and asked about my order and said its been a while, so they upgraded my shipping to next business day! For free! Since my status is "not yet shipped"

I'm two hours East of Columbus, so hopefully mine will get updated there soon. But I'm likely still in AK waiting for customs to finish their 24-hour coffee break.

There is no upgraded shipping if its coming from China like all the others are... They basically all ship the fastest possible route each step of the way, from China --> Alaska / Memphis --> Your house. They aren't using ground shipping for anything unless you live right near Alaska or Memphis (and for the actual delivery to your house).
