Alaska, Alaska, Alaska, Alaska... Alaska... ALASKA!!!

Yup, mines up in Anchorage, Alaska too. It's been there since yesterday morning, chilling in a FedEx facility, waiting to catch a flight to the lower 48 states. My shipment is still scheduled to arrive the 17th, at least that has remained unchanged.
 
This is just sad.

Just received my smart cover and started holding it and staring at it as if it were the real ipad.

Ipad won't be in until Friday according to fedex, apple says the 21st.

Why can't it be picked up at FedEx? That's what I'm going to have to do and there's no way I'm signing a release to have them leave it in an unsecured location at my house.

Either that, or I'll be home, haven't decided yet.

When I login to my apple account, I have confirmation that my order was successfully placed at 12:53 am (PDT) on March 11th with a "delivers" date for my smart cover between March 16-21st. FedEx tracking shows that the pickup was delayed in Hong Kong and now won't deliver until March 22nd. My 64 GB black wifi iPad originally had a "delivers" date between March 18-25th but it's still listed as "Not yet shipped". I'm happy for those who have received their items but very disappointed in the delay I'm experiencing. I checked and from what I can tell, the devastation in Japan has absolutely no impact on the shipping delays out of Hong Kong.

I'm the same as you. My receipt shows that I ordered at EXACTLY 1:00am PSD and STILL nothing. It's just sitting there... taking it's sweet time. Starting to get aggravated as well!:mad:

I ordered the white 16gb Wifi only. Something is going on with the white WiFi only's the past couple of days it seems... at least the 16 and 32gb. :mad:

Oh, and also, no one has went from "not yet shipped" to "prepared to ship" today it seems. I'm still at "not yet shipped".

We got one today, two days early. And our other is stuck in Alaska with everyone else's. Hasn't moved since yesterday.

The one we got today was a 16 gb white wifi. The one stuck is the same in black.

It doesn't make sense because it would save FedEx another trip or 2 to your house but that's how Apple designates these shipments. The shipper has to arrange for you to pick it up or FedEx won't allow it. I've tried with other items and they say no. You could call Apple and ask them to call FedEx but....

I wonder when mine will be here. The iPad says the 17th and is in Memphis and the cover says 18th and is in TA YUAN HSIANG.

yeah you have a frozen stuck one like me
I noticed something so delievery estimate through Fed Ex is 17th but at my Apple notification e-mail it says

Well they probably put in the request to charge your card when they are ready to ship and you have to hope your bank does 24x7 processing, some don't
 
Here is an update for anybody with an iPad that was on the Anchorage to Newark flight that arrived at 2:28 a.m. I spoke with a rep who said my iPad was still at the Newark hub, but will be out for delivery tomorrow (I live in the Virginia Beach area). I hope this helps some of you out there.
