Even though this is one of your many posts saying the same thing, I will give the rebuttal - PEOPLE UNDERSTAND YOU but even though Apple is within their promised time frames, we are agitated that other people who ordered the SAME THING way after we did are seeing statuses like "prepared for shipment", "shipped", and even getting them delivered today. Wake up!

The way I take it is Apple stated "Ships in 3-5 days", not "If your order was placed before Bro B, C and D, you will get your toy before them"...

I ordred at 12:42 PST, that is surely before many who either have them now via online order or will have them, what is the big deal, right? The way I see it, Apple has done *nothing* wrong in the way they have set these timelines, you have to give them until the actual due date to really have any cause for concern.

Like always, these threads are always a case study in terms of who is mature or not and open minded or not.

Ipad ordered Friday morning delivered today...

On Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2:46 AM PST (5:46 AM EST) I ordered a 32 MB White Wifi Ipad, no engraving. It was delivered today, Tuesday, March 15, 2011 @ 10:33 AM by Fed Ex in the Boston, MA area. I used regular free shipping by Apple.

I ordered three other items, including a smart cover, which are still in shipment.

I will tell you that the last time I checked the Ipad was in Tennessee and then the next thing you know the door bell rang.

Anyone here from Houston get their iPad delivered yet? If not, where is yours right now? Also, mine says it's "In transit" but the only location showing up is Shenzhen - does it usually go to Lantau from there? How long has it taken to get from Shenzhen to somewhere in the US? Thanks!

Mine shipped last night around 11:30 PM and is scheduled to get to Houston by Friday at 4:30. Do you think it will still show up on time if it just left Shenzhen?

Why can't it be picked up at FedEx? That's what I'm going to have to do and there's no way I'm signing a release to have them leave it in an unsecured location at my house.

Either that, or I'll be home, haven't decided yet.

If you know which Fedex local facility where your iPad will be loaded on the truck that delivers to your home, you can try getting there when they open on the morning of delivery and ask them to take it off the truck and give it to you. They won't do it if you call and ask them: you have to be there (and they still might not give it to you without having attempted delivery, but my local facility has done this for me several times with Apple shipments, the most recent being a Macbook Air). The trucks leave the facility quickly, and it may already be on the road when you walk in the door. Anyway, that's an option if you're so inclined.

On the other hand, you could let them attempt the first delivery, then call Fedex and have them hold it at the facility and drop by late in the day to pick it up. You might have to wait on the truck to get back depending on its schedule. Of course, you could wait until the next day, but...probably not.

It's probably gone off somewhere enroute. There have been plenty of missed scans. Check out this site and put in your tracking number to see what it says. If it says left FedEx ramp in ANC then you're good to go.

Mine just arrived to Anchorage via FedEx Flight 28 from Shanghai. Mines been to these locations... it's quite silly.

1. Shenzhen, China
2. Hong Kong, China
3. Taipei, Taiwan
4. Osaka, Japan
5. Shanghai, China
6. Anchorage, AK

So it leaves China to go to Japan where they just had a terrible earthquake, only to go back to China. LOL! It's still scheduled for delivery here in ATL on the 17th before 4:30, and with it being stateside now (although 3000 miles away on some frozen tundra) I believe it. But check that other FedEx tracker... it gives more detailed instructions.

I ordered a 32GB white WiFi at 3AM CST Friday. It appears to have been stuck in Memphis since last night. It just now departed and is on its way to me in KCMO. If they hustle, I might get mine a day earlier than FedEx's estimate...

It's probably gone off somewhere enroute. There have been plenty of missed scans. Check out this site and put in your tracking number to see what it says. If it says left FedEx ramp in ANC then you're good to go.

I just called Apple Support. They informed me that my 64 GB white wifi iPad (ordered 1:08 PST on 3/11) was in the first batch of orders and would be going out ASAP. I asked for expedited shipping and the customer service person stated that all the orders that had been backlogged were bumped up to expedited shipping. He quoted me 2 business days. I wasn't offered any ear buds or anything else. He said my order should be going out today or tomorrow with the expedited shipping.

My husband received his 32 GB black wifi today and his gray poly cover. It was due to arrive according to Fed Ex on 3/17 but made it 2 days early.
