fedex told me air today @ 12:10 pm nothing is coming to and from china, due to radiation in the atmosphere. a memo just went out
 
This is getting unbearable...to those of you bitching about not having your orders shipped yet:

Apple quoted 3-5 business days for shipping. IT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN THREE YET AND YOU ARE UP IN ARMS ABOUT IT.

Yes, some of our orders have shipped/delivered, but you need to understand, NOBODY LIED TO ANYONE HERE. Your iPad, if it has not yet shipped, WILL ship within the next 2 days. Sheesh.

If it does not, complain away. Until then, save the melodramatics about how Apple is screwing you over and this is a failed launch. :rolleyes:
 
Mine was just delivered from apple. I ordered around 3:45am EST last Friday.

Since 1am this morning the package arrived in Tennessee from Alaska and departed Tennessee and finally made it's delivery on the East Coast. Pretty fast I think!
 
Has anyone received an actual shipping notice TODAY?
It looks like a lot of deliveries and tracking numbers but have they even sent out any shipping notices today for the rest of us poor slobs that are still waiting for any news at all? :confused:

So considering I'm 20 mins from Newark mine should be going from Anchorage to Newark instead of Memphis?

Even though this is one of your many posts saying the same thing, I will give the rebuttal - PEOPLE UNDERSTAND YOU but even though Apple is within their promised time frames, we are agitated that other people who ordered the SAME THING way after we did are seeing statuses like "prepared for shipment", "shipped", and even getting them delivered today. Wake up!

"Shipping" yes.... "Prepared for shipping" no (from what I've seen)

Like I said, there's no need to freak out until the 3-5 days have passed.

I bet it is very frustrating to see your order hasn't budged while others like mine have, but what I was simply getting it at was a chill pill is needed. We don't know what Apple's supply chain or strategy looks like, but rest assured, everything will turn out fine in the end. It could be worse, you could be waiting 4-5 weeks now for an order to ship. :p

In any event, I hope those of you whose orders haven't budged yet will get some progress soon. I had to wait a long time to get my iPad 1, so I know what you're going through. Be strong! :)
 
Delivered!

My 16gb wifi black ipad was just delivered! I ordered at 12:52am Friday. I can't believe how fast it got here! I have my fingers crossed for everyone who has yet to ship--very, very soon!

Yes, that would make the most sense to me. :)

From some other posts though this is not a guarantee since a couple of people that live in New York had their package land in Memphis. Hope it is Newark for you!

Sorry, but this is a big deal for me ! so i am pushing for this to come before my date of the 18th (Apple) and the 17th (FedEx). I've waited a while for this, and its countdown to arrival ! :cool:

No, a chill pill is not needed. Even if they ship today, the issue still stands. Of course you would be posting this, though, since yours is shipped. No need to fuel our fire of frustration by posting "relax" type posts because they do anything but relax. I don't care what "could be worse", I am dealing with my situation and bottom line is that it is unfair for someone who ordered two hours after me to be fiddling with their iPad 2 right now.

The shipper has to arrange for you to pick it up or FedEx won't allow it. I've tried with other items and they say no. You could call Apple and ask them to call FedEx but....

Good to know. Haven't ordered anything online with them in a while. Will definitely be home for the delivery then.

If going out of order and screwing those who ordered early only to have people who ordered later AND WITH ENGRAVING no less, get theirs shipped first is actually Apples supply-line strategy then IT SUCKS.

Apple can go screw themselves.
