Ahh! I'm jealous of everyone whose status has updated! I'm STILL in Alaska, and I have been for over a day!!! FedEx better but all of our iPads on a plane... They are all small enough to fit!!!
 
Currently refreshing this page quickly until i see an update !
And once i received the iPad i wont be back on this website till the next Apple device release ! :apple:
 
I ordered my 64gb White 3G(at&t) ipad at 10:45p (12:45a PST) and mine still hasn't shipped.... Haven't read the whole thread, but has anyone else's iPad2 with the same config as mine shipped already?
 
My 64GB white Verizon which went "Prepared for Shipping" one day ahead of my 32GB white wifi still hasn't shipped yet while the white wifi shipped yesterday. wtf.

Package hasn't shown in Hong Kong yet. Which Is weird since on a map the drives btw cities is shorter than the drive I make to ATL by an hour. Guess it missed a scan.

Anybody try to hold their iPad for pickup. Fedex website says holds aren't allowed for my order. Didn't have a problem for my iPhone 4

I have the exact same status and have for some time now. really frustrated. do you think it just missed a scan?
 
MASSIVE UPDATE - READ THIS:

Just called Customer Service for a second time.

This time I lied and said I had a friend next to me who just called and had his shipping upgraded to 2-day so they couldn't deny me.

The guy was very friendly and said right away "Ah, no problem man- I will upgrade you to 2 day shipping"

I said "Do you know how Apple is sending these out- it obviously isnt first come, first served"

Him: "Well, it is and it isn't. Was your friend's iPad 2 engraved?"

Me: "Yeah"

Him: "Okay, well his is shipping directly from the manufacturer overseas. Yours is backordered in the United States"

Me: "What do you mean backordered?"

Him: "Well, the ones getting engraved come from overseas. Yours will be coming from a warehouse in the United States,"

Me: "Really, from where- California?"

Him: "It doesn't tell me exactly where, just that yours is coming from the US. The regular iPads, not personalized, ship from the US. They are in huge demand right now, so that's why it's backordered. Don't worry, though, you should be getting a shipping update tomorrow because it will be your 5th day (it will actually be my 4th day, but whatever). So, expect the March 18-25 delivery range to be kicked back 2 days."

Me: "Hm, okay, this is all new news to me. But you're definitely giving me the shipping upgrade then?"

Him: "Definitely. I put that in for you."

There you have it- take it as you will I guess....
 
So for those of us who got in to Anchorage today, I guess its our turn to camp out overnight :) I've heard its pretty out in Alaska, hope she (he?) has a good time.

Mine has now been in Alaska since yesterday morning and with end to it's journey in sight. Very irritating that Apple didn't spring for express shipping this time around (they have every previous order i've placed with them).

Even more annoying is that my smart cover (also ordered at 12:45am on 3/11) is still in China now with a delivery date of 3/22?!?!?!?! It's taking them eleven days to ship a cover that I could easily go purchase at retail still?!

They have really botched this whole release. I have purchased every generation iPhone and the first gen iPad during the release and this is far and away the worst managed launch I have experienced. I hope that extra publicity was worth alienating a lot of their best customers.

Mine isn't engraved and it's coming directly from the factory, so ...

Is it 3G? ATT or Verizon? I'm in the same boat with a white 16gb ATT.

Is this from an ATT rep or apple rep?

If an apple rep, then his information is very incorrect. Thousands (on this website alone) have ordered non-engraved and they've been shipped from china.
