I think us who engraved are at disadvantage right now because mines has not shipped and I ordered @ 2:47am CST which means I should have been one of the first to receive mines.

Ordered 32gb black wifi+verizon 3g @ 3:01am central time and still "not shipped yet". The black leather smart cover has been prepped for shipment though.
Apple Cancelled My iPad Order
I woke up at 2:50 am central time to preorder a 32GB White iPad 2 Wifi, and an HDMI adaptor. Everything went through as it normally would. It said my items would ship within 3-5 days. I found it weird that Apple didn't send me a confirmation email as they typically have done, but I was still able to login and see that my order was scheduled to be shipped within 3-5 days. I checked again this morning since nothing had showed up on my bank statement. Sure enough my order says it has been cancelled. CANCELLED! You probably won't believe me when I say this, but the exact same thing happened to me last year when I tried to purchase the original iPad ( I had to wait over a month). I didn't even receive an email from Apple letting me know that they cancelled the order. I called my bank this morning to see if they were aware of the transaction. They said there must be something wrong on Apple's end. I called Apple this morning, and I am still on hold (going on 2 hours). The first two people I had spoke with told me that there is nothing they can do, and that I should just place another order, and hope that you receive an iPad in the next month or so. They have no idea why their system cancelled my order and quite frankly they seem like they don't care. I've been a fan of Apple for over 10 years, but now days they are really starting to piss me off.

it means personalization because that is what mines says
it's a mail forwarder but i've already bought a macbook pro and an ipod this way without any issues at all and it's shipped using my name and my credit card so the only common thing is the address.
I did. But the delivery time showed 3-5 days either way... so I opted for the engraving.
I can imagine your frustration. I know this is of no or little consolation, but I doubt if Apple "doesn't care", just not able to remedy the situation outside of you placing another order. I'm sure they want to sell as many iPads as possible. That's how they stay in business

well thats what the prsn stands for. also i havent seen a single one that has been engraved even prepared for shipment yet alone shipped.
Ok but if 30 people buy an iPad and they use this mail forwarder Apple see this and cancel the order...

I ordered 32gb att black 3g, and ordered the second the ordering went live. Still showing "not yet shipped" although the smart cover has shipped ups, which i will probably be taking back to the apple store when it gets here after playing with them at best buy.
They should ship on a first come first serve basis, but there are several versions of the ipad so its hard to tell if someone that ordered after you is shipped before you unless its the exact same thing.

you are right but names and credit cards are all different it could be 30 people living in the same building/street address.
yeah that makes sense. 30 people with different names living at the same place. right. apple is not dumb, you tried to pull a fast one on them and they caught it. get over it and wait until the 25th to get it.
