So no movement since 2am arrival into Newark. Had hoped for some action into a local NYC facility but nothing.

So I guess it looks like a tomorrow delivery. Not too bad but getting tough since my Smart Cover delivered yesterday. I have been trying to attach it to everything in my house. My TV, wife, kids, etc
 
Mine now says "2011-03-16 17:22:00 Package status LANTAU ISLAND" on the yahoo tracking and nothing has changed on the regular Fedex tracking.

Yes mine shipped on 15th, this looks like hit or miss. My sister ordered the same one I did 8 min. Before me at 12:56 am Pst and hers has not shipped yet. She's in N.C. And I'm CA. Apple is still within their shipping time even though it's frustrating because we all want that hot little gadget in our hands.

:eek: Much patients is required! We are all so egar.
 
My iPad made it to Indy early this morning, it now on it's way to my local hub. I live 3 hours north of Indy. Any hopes it will reach me today?

EDIT: It made it to my local hub. Maybe today?

I wouldn't hold my breath. I ordered a black 16gb ATT at 12:49 PDT on 3/11.

Went to prepared to ship over 48 hours ago and hasn't changed. My black smart cover went to shipped over 48 hours ago and is still sitting at Lanatau Island. It showed an original shipping date of 3/18 and was changed to 3/22 which is after the original promised date of 3/21.

I have been a longtime loyal Apple customer and is undoubtedly this has been my worst experience.

Mine went straight from Lantau Island HK to Memphis. No stop in Anchorage.

Mine made it to Chicago - probably when I was (literally) dreaming about the iPad! I always just check right before bed what my latest status is... must have been imprinted in my brain cause I dreamt about getting it last night. :p

40-45 m west of Chicago, 16gb black wifi with engraving.

Still no out for delivery, but it was in Chicago at 3:28 AM and Yahoo has it has "left fedex ramp" at 4:14 AM. Not sure if that means they're bringing it to a more local FedEx today (or if it's already there???) or if I should just hold on until tomorrow. I am reassured that at the very least I'll have it in my hands tomorrow!!! :) This is superrr great because I'm supposed to get off work at 12:30 and should have all day to play with it :) weeeeee. I wanted it for March Madness!

My cover has just about identical tracking, with the same status check in the same location at the exact same time.

FedEx still lists it as being scheduled for delivery on Friday. Not that I care, my iPad has now entered day 3 of "prepared for shipment" which is rather frustrating. I hope that when it ships, it doesn't take the same route as our covers.

Same model here, ordered @ 12:54 AM PST. Still 'Not Yet Shipped'. They are really screwing up!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad: I hope they soon get some competition in the tablet market...

People, people....why so negative? What are you expecting? Apple is still within their promised shipping window time! We are now only in the beginning of our 4th business day. And from a friend of mine who works for Apple, they consider it the 3rd business day after the date of order. (Which is why launch day was a Friday.

I think we need to settle down here and stop calling it your worst experience ever. I think its okay to be frustrated if you lack patience, but to start criticizing is pointless.
 
OK, so the black leather cover which shipped on the 13th has not left China yet. The HDMI adpater which shipped the same day is still in China as well. Both were charged to my CC on the 13th as well. The Camera adapter shipped on the 12th and made it to the local sort facility today. The iPad spent 24 hours in sort hell in AK and is in Atlanta at a local sort facility.

I expect nothing today at this rate and can't figure rhyme or reason for how items make it here based on ship dates.

IPad is in Aurora Illinois! About 10 min away from my house. Weeeeee! Glad I left the sign on the door :) hope it is there by the time I get back for my lunch break

None of us would be so angry at the incompetent fools at Apple if they had STUCK TO FIFO. It is ludicrous that people who ordered later in the day than others have ALREADY RECEIVED theirs. I've called apple at least a half dozen times about this and they couldn't possible care less, which of course makes me even angrier.

Yes, apple screwed many of its long time (and new) customers buy blantently disregarding basic human fairness.... you order first, you get it first.

Friday? Mine's on track for a March 22nd delivery per FedEx (NJ). :( – we'll have to see if it'll arrive in Anchorage or Memphis today, and by the looks of it, should be flying out of Shanghai.

Good luck on your iPad. I only had a day for "prepared for shipment" and I found it to be torture, hang in there. :(

UPDATE: Just after posting this, I noticed a change in our route. We're now at NARITA-SHI. Sigh.
 
Mine is at my local FedEx facility. It arrived at 7 am. Hopefully it will be delivered today. But it says it will be delivered tomorrow by 4:30.

64GB ATT 3G iPad Black is still not prepared for shipment.
 
Was a bit worried yesterday when apple released all the money they authorized for my order but they ended charging me again a few hours later for the entire order.

My red cover arrives today

My av adapter has been stuck in LANTAU ISLAND HK for over a day but is supposed to be here on the 18th

iPad 64g white AT&T not yet shipped

I think we might be neighbors:)Mine was in AK yesterday but now it says it's in Chicago Hub :woot ! I am wondering the same thing - "if" it might arrive today but just noticed that my time has changed from 3/17 by Noon to 4:30 :( I'm hoping they meant 3/16 by 4:30
