I never said that. You can repost my posts with the picture here if you'd like. I said those pictured in the photo are LIKELY resellers shipping them back to China. That's my opinion, along with any others. The fact that every person in that line was Asian says something. And I am a man. Thanks, though. I have helped MANY here get faster shipping and free smartcovers for the INCONVENIENCE. If that bothers you, too bad.

Aplqna, what have you said to the Apple CS folks to get faster shipping and/or a free smartcover? I've had no such luck, but would certainly like some advice if you don't mind sharing again.
 
My 64gb, White, ATT 3G ordered 12:41 PST, 3/11 finally changed from prepared to ship to shipped :D
Apple states a 3/23 delivery while FedEx states a 3/22. It's the first time that Apple is quoting a later time than FedEx. Usually it's the other way

I ordered Mar 11, 2011 at 12:58 AM PDT.
 
The "contract" when we early risers purchased online was "ships in 3-5 business days". FIFO was never stipulated, only assumed by some. Why would you be entitled to anything extra when those terms have not been violated?

If you've niggled a free case, then you're a freeloading turd.

When most people ordered online though they expected the same or next day shipping they received when they were the first to order previous products. Apple's history created an expectation, and now people are disappointed.

This is the best I can offer... as someone just posted in a great reply a few above me... call them and ask for sales. When they are on- as SOON as they say what is the problem tell them that your friend, who is right next to you, just called and received a free smartcover/ or expedited 2-3 day shipping for the inconvenience. They should not deny it and if they do, call back for another rep! Plenty of us have succeeded, call back 5 times if you have to.

I don't what Aplqna said but I just called and nicely inquired about my order, asked why it had no movement whatsoever when other who ordered lots later already had tracking numbers and even some deliveries, and the CSR said he would refund the purchase price of my cover (leather). I really didn't do anything to get him to do that, just offered it on his own.

The guy I talked to was originally gonna do that after I told him about people I know getting a free smart cover with expedited shipping, but then he decided he would send one for me for free

Curious. I ordered two three minutes after you (1:01AM PST), both 64GB WIFI-only units, one in each color. The black one is one the truck to be delivered to me right now. The white one is still "Not Yet Shipped."

I really wanted to believe that there was some method to the inventory/manufacturing madness, but it doesn't appear that's the case.

Hope yours gets to you soon! Only a few more days now!

It is not a lie... we have done it and we can be their "friend" we are next to them on their computer. Who gives a ****... bottom line is they are lying and being unfair and we are telling the truth- we do know people they have given the free covers and speedier shipping to. If you want it, do it, too. If not, don't whine about us getting our due.
 
My 16gb wifi white that I ordered at 1:08 pacific time switched to prepared to ship when I woke up and I got an email saying it shipped an hour later. Delivery next Tuesday supposedly.

Tell me how that is a lie. I know people who have gotten expedited shipping and free cases and the hell if I don't deserve it! Re-read this thread if you have any questions about whether or not we deserve a $1.00 case or symbolic "priority" shipping for this crap!

This is what happens when you parent today in the "everybody wins" society. You raise your children to be spoiled brats. The false sense of entitlement is extremely amusing. Albeit a bit sad as well.

Sorry, this is not a "false sense" - we are entitled to this. I did not seek one government entitlement in my entire life, so you are wrong. This is the first time I have been this upset with Apple.

Disappointed is fine, raging lunatics is different. Apple is still holding to there part of the agreement until tomorrow. Then the rants can start.
