I ordered around 5:45 am local time (2:45 Pacific) on launch day. I ordered 2 x 32GB 3G iPads and smart covers. Estimated delivery is still tomorrow, March 18 before 4:30 pm. Both covers arrived already.

BTW: it now shows "Int'l Shipment Release" in Anchorage, AK. Maybe it's leaving there soon :)
 
I have 3 scheduled deliveries

Apple TV 3/18 (In Sacramento)

Smart Cover 3/19 (In Salt Lake City)

Ipad 2 32G White At&t Engraved 3/22 (In ALaska)

I called fedex because I am going to be in and out tomorrow and wanted to pre-sign. (I know that while i'm making the 15 minute carpool with the kids the doorbell will ring.) I asked if the shipment out of the Alaska would be going to Oakland and she said not likely since they needed to go to the "Hub" in Memphis.

I know I have seen many from California with a 3/18 delivery date, Has the delivery status changed? Looks like Tuesday will be the date, no early delivery for me...so sad.

Mine's estimated to arrive on the 22nd but im hoping to get it sooner since some other ipads that were on the same plane to Alaska have a Mar 18 estimated delivery day.

After Anchorage they split different ways .. memphis, indianapolis, etc

Thank you so much! It is our exact depature time, and it would also make a lot of sense as to why my status hasn't updated for so long. To Memphis huh? It must hop on another plane to get to me by Monday morning at 10:30. I like this flight aware thing, it gives us OCD people something to track besides Fed Ex!

Mine is on this flight too. Crazy thing is it's not scheduled to be delivered to Atlanta until 3/22 before 12:30. What are your scheduled delivery times and places? I would love to get it early. My smart cover is really getting sick of being hung on the fridge. :p

Glad to see that my iPad has company on its voyage! I think these iPads have more fun getting to us than we have once we get em!

Anyone else's FedEx updates taking hours to come through? Mine are showing up like 4-5 hrs after they happen. Eh. Just hope mine gets here, that's all I care about.

I was really hoping it would make Anchorage by end of today and then ship out to hubs tomorrow morning.
 
Trying to be happy it is in FedEx's hands, but...

It's slightly irritating that my order was processed at 3:59 AM local time (12:59 PST) - a black 64 gb 3g ATT, and it is just sitting there in Shenzhen. After 24 hours there, no movement. I'm trying to be happy that it is out of the factory, but don't understand why the lag in movement once it got out the door.

My black 16GB 3G ATT was at 'prepared to ship' since Sunday night. It just FINALLY SHIPPED today.

Some ship in a few hours, some don't do squat for days.

Hmm that would be awesome! Under service it says "international priority direct distribution". So maybe I'll have some luck in this whole awful process..... But I won't get my hopes up!
 
64GB White ATT

I got my shipping notice this morning.
Initially it had a delivery date of the 22nd.
This evening I check and it is changed to the 23rd.
I hope it makes it or is early. Still leaving for a long trip very early morning of the 24th.

I suspect those flights are replenishments for (Apple) retail; It makes more sense. I could be wrong.

My FedEx detail say IP Direct Distribution, so that gives me a little glimmer of hope that maybe mine will see some movement! Thank you! :)

I sure hope mine is with yours. My iPad matched your itin, to the minute, right up to Lantau Island. Then nothing.
 
Any Activity Yet on March 11th afternoon orders?

Has anyone seen any activity on an order that was placed in the afternoon of Friday, March 11? Does your credit card get charged before you see an update on the Apple Store status?

A bunch of us are all in the same "boat". Question is whether the scan for "departed Fedex location" in anchorage (should follow "Released for Delivery") shows up before it heads to next destination, or only when it arrives there. Anyone who's already had theirs delivered know the answer?

Let's hope it's on arrival...and we get our iPads tomorrow!
