If I had to guess it would be TN but it could go AK to TN to you...TN is where they take everything that must get out because everyone already flies into there to drop off and pick up everything at is next day and 2 day shipping...at least that is how it was when I worked for FedEx.

I'm also thinking that maybe apple got really slammed beyond what they expected. We'll find out soon enough I guess.

Me too. I actually tried to get overnight, and they said OK, but then it was coming out of China, so they can't do that - and said overnight privillages had been revoked for Apple for now - I figured they would put me back to standard, but I have International Priority too. Mine isn't supposed to deliver until 3\21 by 10:30 AM. I wonder if I will get a surprise tomorrow! I'm far from Memphis, but going west adds some more time to the clock
I wonder if I will be so lucky if it has to go from memphis to the west coast?
Thanks for the info. I just saw someones ship updates went from in transit Lantau Island to Tenn. so I'm hoping that is the route many of ours will take. It seemed to be a little faster.
I was told by someone at FedEx that if my package arrived at the local FedEx hub on Saturday I could call and have them hold and pick it up there... Does anyone know if that is true? I'm not that far from it and if it means I can get it a little early (assuming it makes it there by then), then I might do that.
That's about 8 hours from leaving Memphis till being delivered. God I hope mine moves that quick.
mine was stuck at Lantua Island and went to AK and now it is on its way to Fort Worth then a small flight to Tulsa to me...all in one day so TN is not your only option for fast service. If a FedEx Rep says it is possible I would believe them...they know what they are talking about. Lantua Island is Chinese for prepared to ship...I thought mine would go out last night but no update till 10am today.

if I don't get it till the 22nd, I'll still be just as happy to get it, but honestly this is the first (of my many Apple purchases) that has ever been a launch product, and I'm not overly thrilled how it was handled. It won't stop me from buying their products, but I may not buy a launch product online if there isn't a pre-order. But on the upside this thread has taught me a lot and it's nice to have company to obcess with, i mean wait with!

Same here, Im in Oregon, that's a pretty long way to go to get to me by Tomorrow morning...
Fedex still says delivery by 4pm today, but it also still shows my iPad "in transit" in Anchorage.

dont look at FedEx...do a google search for yahoo tracking...it is much more up to date and shows you when flights leave where FedEx doesnt do that.
