If you had read my post you would know that I did contact Apple and was told that Friday didn't count but I don't accept that as valid. It was one hour after midnight.

The way I see it, day #1 is the day they start processing the order. They took your order, they pre-authorized your card, they sent you an order confirmation.

A business day is 8am to 5pm, give or take an hour. You placed your order before the start of business day. I'm with you.

Its about a 16 hour drive from Memphis to my local fedex location. Plus im sure its making a few stops. So i'll give it a good 20 hours or so... It headed my way at 12:30am this morning. I dont expect any updates until late tonight.

Held at Sort Facility, whatever that means. FedEx site is still saying "Estimated delivery March 18, 2011 by 4:30pm". Since I'm in GA, I doubt their 'estimate'. Maybe Monday...

I'm in the same boat. Says "held at Sort Facility" Seems like several iPads didn't make it on the flight from Alaska

My ipad is on the same Flight, I'm in Tampa, FL they put "estimated" right before March 18th to cover themselves, it still says 18th for me as well. Hoping for Mon

They should have back up plans for these things. Such a terrible thing happened in Japan, and I understand why it would cause delays, naturally. But why not just take an alternate route. It couldnt fly, lets say, from China directly to Cali? Or Alaska? Wherever in the US? What was the point of all the trips it made within china and japan? I just dont understand the concept.

Stewie, you will get it as promised, but it seems they just beat your shipping deadline/time and are going to sit on it over there for a while just as I had predicted earlier in this thread.

Did you happen to see if their tracking site is delayed or down? I haven't seen any movement since it arrived from Memphis last night.

Mine is still stuck in TN too according to Yahoo tracker and Fed ex website. I'm bummed. There was a Fed Ex flight directly to PDX last night, that would have gotten me my ipad in time to be delivered today! But, my estimated delivery date isn't until 3/21 anyway, so I guess I will finally admit it to myself that it will take that long. I am thankful it is finally here in the good ol USA though.

This is scary, we have all of the exact same scans. We must be in the same Freight Container. I'm in NJ, where are you. I am hoping for a Monday (3/21) delivery instead of the projected 3/22 delivery. It has been so frusturating.

My Camera Connection Kit (came from Shenzen) and my Smart Cover (came for Rialto, CA) are both out for delivery today!!

I'm in the same boat as you. Ordered 1:04am, 32GB ATT Black, still "prepared for shipment". A rep yesterday told me it would definitely go out last night, but nothing as of this morning. Another rep this morning told me it will definitely go out tonight. I feel like I'm on a merry-go-'round!

Unlike others, I haven't been offered my smart cover for free or anything else. But I do get reps who are happy to explain why if you don't count the weekend, and you don't count March 11, this is still day 5, and everything is on schedule as promised!

I'm in your camp, to be honest. 7d12h doesn't feel like 3-5d shipping.

I agree with many others this is already the worst service I've ever received from Apple and I'm still a long way from getting mine! Waiting til Monday (the 7th business day) before I start complaining to CS. And why so long after shipping until delivery? They're saying the delivery process can take 8 days??
