My iPad got to Alaska this afternoon, and was released for delivery at 5:10pm eastern. Any chance it'll move to the lower 48 before Monday, or does FedEx shut down completely on Sundays?
 
Apparently mine is stuck at Pleasure Island and not wanting to leave.

received your iPad shipping notice

ordered 64G Black wifi at 6:39am EST on 3/11 and just went to prepared for shipment.
BTW, ordered a video cable and cover at the same time. One shipped quickly and the other sat in scenic Hong Kong for 2 days. They both ended up in the same delivery. From Hong Kong to Alaska and direct to Newark... Faster than my Continental commercial flights!

Well, at least your delivery is delayed by travel that still needs to happen. Mine is here in my hometown being held until Tuesday...Monday, if I can talk them into releasing it early.

True. Just frustrating that the extra day was because it sat at Lantau for nearly 2 days. This whole shipping process would be much less stressful if we couldn't track every movement online, I feel like. But since we can get up-to-the-minute status updates, we aren't content with FedEx simply hitting its estimate.

Yes, my iPad is not on FDX 014 either...but there are at least three more flights to Memphis from Anchorage:
FDX 5092 departure sched 1645 local (2045 EDT)
FDX 0084 departure sched 1645 local
FDX 0026 departure sched 1830 local (2230 EDT)

Including the aircraft already launched, that's 4 MD11s going to Memphis...that's a lot of freight capacity...I can't believe that our iPads won't be on one of those flights...

And there's a flight from Anchorage to Newark...
FDX 0092 departure sched 1815 local (2215 EDT)

So lots of opportunities for us awaiting iPads who live in the Central and Eastern US...and there may be a flight from ANC to Oakland later tonight...

agreed, there's a strong chance you will receive your ipad last thursday.
