Mine is about 8 miles from me and not scheduled for delivery until Tuesday. Any reason I wouldn't get it tomorrow?
Well, here is a lovely list of our stuck pallet. We will have to hope for movement today. (Monday in China) Someone please raise your hand when the loading crew walks by!
That's 72 hours on Lantau Island and no sign of movement. After 80 hours in "Prepared for Shipment" status and approaching that on Lantau Island, I'm mighty irritated even though I have learned that "International Economy" means no movement over the weekend. On my order from Apple it says Priority but apparently they didn't get the info to FedEx (on time, or at all). I'm waiting to see what happens when it gets to the US (Anchorage or Memphis) and FedEx opens the container my iPad is in along with yours (maybe). I want to wait until I actually receive it before I give Apple "feedback". Preorders allows the seller to have a sample of demand - since they decided by whatever strategic logic not to allow preorders, many of us who ordered soon after the store opened wait. I believe the AT&T 3G are shipping the slowest.Same status here.
From Memphis, will a Philly area go to PHL directly? Looks like FedEx have flights that get to Philly early in the AM, so I may get from Memphis to the Philly burbs in time for a delivery tomorrow!

Does anyone know if Express packages move between Fedx hubs on Sundays? I'm wondering if my package will move from Philly to my local hub today at some point, or if it will sit there until Monday.
1.5 days seems to be the standard length for a stay on Lantau Island...

Mine's been on Lantau Island since Friday since FedEx obviously isn't shipping over the weekend. The question is since there's now going to be a backup on Lantau Island (I imagine a warehouse with tons of iPads packed into it) and they probably won't be able to ship them all Monday, how do they decide
which to ship?

My I pad has been in Fedex depot on LANTAU ISLAND HK for several days. I just got a text from my I pad! 4 8 15 16 23 42
The topic is called "received your NOTICE". Not "where in the world is your ipad"?
At least hopefully people are hopefully learning more about geography (at least in China and the western US).
But I wasn't trying to be patronizing. I was just curious what kind of jobs people had where they could slag off all day pressing "refresh" in their browser.
Mine has now been thre 2 1/2 days - and that is both on the general Fedex Tracker and the Yahoo small business link above. It arrived there Thursday afternoon my time, and Fedex just added yet another line which indicates that it is still "At local FedEx facility LANTAU ISLAND HK".
What do you think my chances are of them fulfilling the posted Wednesday delivery? I'm leaving for a long trip very eary Thursday morning and would love to have it with me.

I'm a neurosurgeon.
LOL!!!
I would have preferred a variation on "Northern Exposure" since my iPads were stuck in Anchorage for several days. They are finally on the move though. Left Memphis yesterday pm.
