Well, here is a lovely list of our stuck pallet. We will have to hope for movement today. (Monday in China) Someone please raise your hand when the loading crew walks by!

My black 16G AT&T is stuck in Lantau, also!

If you think your iPad is stuck on Lantau Island

Guys--my advice after doing this for almost a week and learning from others.

(1) Make sure you are using the Yahoo small business FedEx tracker
http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/r-packageTracker-s-fedex
The FedEx tracker showed my iPad at Lantau Island for 1.5 days after it had left...my iPad went to Taiwan then Japan before getting to Anchorage. The FedEx tracker never showed any of this progress.

(2) The above tracker will say something like "left xxx ramp at" within about 10-15 minutes of your iPad's plane taking off...then look at the flight departures for that airport and match the times...that will tell you which FedEx flight your iPad is on.
http://www.hongkongairport.com/flightinfo/eng/cargo_dep.html
Other airports in the Far East seem to have a similar website...just Google on your airport and "cargo schedule" and you'll find it.

(3) You should assume no particular routing for your iPad. We have seen them going to Taiwan, Japan, Shanghai (and who knows where else) before heading to the US. Principal points of entry to the US seem to be either Anchorage or direct to Memphis.

(4) Once your iPad gets to the US, then the Flightaware tracker is the best for real-time info. Also, once in the US, the FedEx tracker seems to do well at knowing where your package is.

Good luck!

What flight???

Same status here.
That's 72 hours on Lantau Island and no sign of movement. After 80 hours in "Prepared for Shipment" status and approaching that on Lantau Island, I'm mighty irritated even though I have learned that "International Economy" means no movement over the weekend. On my order from Apple it says Priority but apparently they didn't get the info to FedEx (on time, or at all). I'm waiting to see what happens when it gets to the US (Anchorage or Memphis) and FedEx opens the container my iPad is in along with yours (maybe). I want to wait until I actually receive it before I give Apple "feedback". Preorders allows the seller to have a sample of demand - since they decided by whatever strategic logic not to allow preorders, many of us who ordered soon after the store opened wait. I believe the AT&T 3G are shipping the slowest.

Mine shipped today and I was a 5-7 business day shipping person thing. Hopefully I will have it by Friday!

From Memphis, will a Philly area go to PHL directly? Looks like FedEx have flights that get to Philly early in the AM, so I may get from Memphis to the Philly burbs in time for a delivery tomorrow!

Mine is about 8 miles from me and not scheduled for delivery until Tuesday. Any reason I wouldn't get it tomorrow?

They will fill the truck with Monday scheduled deliveries first, then if there is room load tuesday packages. At least that is what the rep explained to me. Good luck.

Does anyone know if Express packages move between Fedx hubs on Sundays? I'm wondering if my package will move from Philly to my local hub today at some point, or if it will sit there until Monday.

Mine's just international economy distribution and has seen no movement whatsoever since it landed at KMEM just after 2am central. Ground from Philly out towards you could conceivably happen, but I'd expect it to move early tomorrow morning more than I'd expect it to move during the day today.

1.5 days seems to be the standard length for a stay on Lantau Island...

Mine has now been thre 2 1/2 days - and that is both on the general Fedex Tracker and the Yahoo small business link above. It arrived there Thursday afternoon my time, and Fedex just added yet another line which indicates that it is still "At local FedEx facility LANTAU ISLAND HK".

What do you think my chances are of them fulfilling the posted Wednesday delivery? I'm leaving for a long trip very eary Thursday morning and would love to have it with me.

i just got off with fedex(had the same question)
she said that they dont really touch the packages untill LATE sunday night, if ur delivery says monday, itll be first on the truck, but than if ur delivery says tuesday(like me) itll prob be moved on monday night, BUT if ur lucky, ull mmake the monday truck if it isnt full.

Mar 17, 2011 4:11 PM Shipment information sent to FedEx

Mine's been on Lantau Island since Friday since FedEx obviously isn't shipping over the weekend. The question is since there's now going to be a backup on Lantau Island (I imagine a warehouse with tons of iPads packed into it) and they probably won't be able to ship them all Monday, how do they decide which to ship?

I would hope by delivery date. Most that I have seen post have a delivery date of 3/23 which FedEx can still meet.

If your iPad gets eaten by the smoke monster, Apple will at least comp you a smart cover...

Just got a picture of a polar bear!

The topic is called "received your NOTICE". Not "where in the world is your ipad"?

At least hopefully people are hopefully learning more about geography (at least in China and the western US).

But I wasn't trying to be patronizing. I was just curious what kind of jobs people had where they could slag off all day pressing "refresh" in their browser.

dumbest comment i've seen so far.

I bet you can't wait for the iPad 3 to come out with the new Retina Display. You can see your customers brain scans clearer. :D

Mine (64gb wifi black ordered 1:02 am) made it to Memphis last night. I know from experience it should easily make it to Honolulu tonight and there is a good chance I will get mine tomorrow. I am scheduled for tuesday and it often goes up by a day.

LOL!!! :D

I would have preferred a variation on "Northern Exposure" since my iPads were stuck in Anchorage for several days. They are finally on the move though. Left Memphis yesterday pm.

I'm glad yours is moving, you should have it very soon! I just hope I don't have to make one for Anchorage.
