Traveled the world

This is the current status of my ipad. My ipad has now traveled the world and I am ready to have it delivered. The original deliver date was the 18th, obviously that did not happen. Does anyone know when my package will move again? Or when I will get it? I live in tampa and ordered a black 32gb wifi ipad at 1:04ampst.

Just noticed mine says the same. Apple the 23rd, Fedex the 24th. Maybe one of the 1-3 day recipients can chime in.

Apple says by the 23rd, and Fedex is just an estimated, so maybe apple is right, or let's just hope so!

Unfortunately FedEx has no regularly scheduled flights from Hong Kong on Sunday so we will see another Package Status update at 23:50 on 3/20.

They can still make the 3/23 delivery date though.

That's not true. Not all flights go to Memphis first. My camera connection kit and the smart cover were shipped via Anchorage and then directly to Oakland and on to San Diego. My iPad was shipped from Japan to Memphis and then to San Diego.
Don't know why the routes differ. There's probably a logistical reason for it.

I think it's a matter of timing, I had previously the HDMI connector jump from Anchorage to Memphis to Burbank and then to me...and it was probably only because of them not probably having an Oakland run when my package came in...

EDIT: Oops, forgot, hah...I think it's all TRUCK from here on out, didn't see a flight, but it left in a hurry...

Okay so now I check and my iPad is in Alaska. How long to get to the Washington DC area?

It depends. What is your est. del. date? I have seen < 24 hours or 3 days to the east coast from AK. Normally apple and fed ex team up to beat the date but this time they seem to be just hitting it, or 1 day early at max.

Monday for sure. If you call you can make sure they know its late and get it to you from Memphis though I am sure their system has already flagged it as late. Good case for a free cover or something if they actually missed your date.

As mentioned in another thread on here.

FedEx will deliver on Saturday, if the shipper paid for Saturday delivery which costs quite a bit more. Most online retailers do not offer FedEx Saturday delivery because of the extra charges.

FedEx Ground does not deliver on Saturday.

FedEx Home Delivery does deliver on Saturday, however doesn't deliver on Monday. Apple has been increasingly using this service to ship larger items (such as printers, etc).

Mine too. Waited in HK for what seems like forever, but it's now in Memphis. Estimated delivery date is the 22nd. Since this iPad is a high school graduation gift for my granddaughter (not till this June), I'm not going crazy to get it, but it'll be nice to have it in my hands safe and sound anyway! What'll be really hard is resisting the urge to open and use it myself.

I'm guessing that they'll run a big sort tonight and hopefully we'll all get out to our closest airport tomorrow morning and get put on a truck for delivery! Keeping my fingers crossed.

Looks like my iPad has really made some tracks once it got moving. It is due to be delivered on Tuesday, but am now thinking it may get to Brooklyn tomorrow.

i live on long island, i dont know why it hasnt moved, i think that they start to load trucks at night, so maybe delivery tmw, but prob not, but deft tuesday!

Wish I knew. Mine is here at San Diego sorting facility since yesterday afternoon. It shows del for Tuesday the 22nd but I had a fed ex notification 5 days ago that said mon the 21st. Tomorrow! But if they haven't sorted it it will be tuesday.... I am still hopeful I will get it tomorrow though! Yeah! finally! Good luck with yours.

My Ipad is in the same shipping lot. If what one of the posters said above is true, it maybe another full day before it ever leaves Lantau Island. The really interesting thing is my cover shipped just a few hours before my ipad and its on its way to Memphis now.
