I ordered Fri, March 11, 2011 5:12:28 AM and received my iPad 2 Friday March 25.

I am in Abilene, Texas. I had Fed Ex Hold the iPad2 at the local Fed Ex store that used to be Kinkos.

I like that I had the option to have my iPad 2 held even before they attempted the first delivery and I was able to pick the location with extended hours.

I never know what time I am going to get off from work. If I had been off I would have to set around the house scared I was going to miss the Fed Ex person. Also my iPad 2 was at the store at 9:16 am.

I don't know if it is a state by state thing (I live in Florida) but I get the following message when I clicked on the "Hold at FedEx Location" option:

"Hold at FedEx Location service is not available for this shipment. "

When I called Apple Customer Service several days ago, they told me that mine should take less time in shipping since it was coming from a warehouse in Illinois - I think he was reading from the WRONG SCREEN!!!

Finally got my Shipping notice this morning around 9:45am. Went into Prepared for Shipping on thursday. I ordered a white 64gb, att, engraved.

Package was picked up by fedex in china at 1140am this morning, got to lantau island at 1158pm. (Local Scan Time).

I'll be keeping an eye on flights out of Lantau to see when it's on the move.

Here's a fedex flight schedule. But as you know if you've been reading this thread, they don't show flights until an hour or 2 before they take off usually.

Looks like mine is currently on a FedEx flight to Minneapolis and it should arrive tomorrow. It shipped late on Thursday night. No delays at the Hong Kong airport or sitting for the weekend. Thrilled to be getting it two days ahead of the promised date on fedex and a week an a half ahead of apple's original estimate.

Look like I order same model and same time with you. Lucky mine get to destination sort facility before thunderstorms hit Memphis. 16G Wifi White, order 11-Mar 7:20 PDT.

I just ck'd and mine left Tennessee! PHEW!! :) that was a close one! LOL!
 
I know alot are cancelling and going to a 3rd party places for theirs. For me it's too much hassle to cancel and look elsewhere more so when most don't have any stock. Think waiting til April 25th will be worth the wait. I've never had an iPad what's waiting another month?

I think that its BS that Apple can't fulfill orders that are already placed online for weeks on end, but yet, they can distribute iPads to other countries and retailers on a regular basis. Makes no sense.

Memphis is where Fedex's headquarters are and its main hub.

Mine did it earlier and I think it is doing it again. I was stuck on the island for a couple of days before it updated all at once right before it landed in Memphis.

Today it left Memphis for Tulsa on a flight that landed 4 hours ago, but it still hasn't updated past Departing Memphis.

My boss ordered mine at 11:13am PST on March 11...he ordered a white 16GB 3G Verizon engraved, while a coworker and myself ordered a white 16 GB 3G ATT engraved. My boss received his iPad on Monday March 21st....and my and my coworkers iPads still show "Not yet Shipped"....I'm reading this forum and getting very impatient! :)

Just got an email from apple. My order has shipped! It was picked up by FedEx at 5 am local time in Shenzhen.

NEW delivery date: March 31, by 4:30 pm. 1 week EARLY!

Still hasn't updated even though it landed there 6 hours ago now. Just wish I knew if they were headed to Springdale yet or not for delivery Monday or Tuesday.

I ordered on 3/12 @ 8:06am PDT, Black 64GB AT&T. Apple just charged me for it! I am excited! Now I get to check a thousand times per day to see when it ships and watch it travel. This is such fun, seriously!:)
