When did you place that 2nd order? 3/30? Curious because I ordered 3/16 and ship date was 4/20, so Curious as to how early mine might ship. Seeing 3/13 orders ship and getting even more anxious and obsessive.

There's a Fedex plane from Newark landing in Anchorage in 15 minutes. I wonder if my iPad will climb aboard this plane on it's return since the final destination is in PA.
I ordered on the 3/12, before most of you and mine has not even shipped yet, not even prep for shipping!!!
My status was just updated to "Prepared for Shipment" and my credit card has now been charged.
I ordered a 64GB AT&T White iPad 2.
My order was placed on Saturday, March 12, at 11:14AM PT.
Original Ship Date: April 11
Original Arrival Date: April 14
It looks like Apple continues to be well ahead of schedule!
UPDATE:
My order has just Shipped, and it is scheduled to be delivered next Wednesday, April 6th! That's not bad considering that it just moved to "Prepared for Shipment" at 10:30 ET last night. It looks like Apple is now well ahead of schedule for many of us. This is certainly fantastic news!
I'm betting that anyone who ordered on the 12th, 13th, or 14th will have some good news either today or tomorrow (if they don't already)!
Fedex using the fact the it's international economy distribution (palettes) rather than direct shipment to their advantage. Getting the most space used on each flight. They give priority to non bulk economy shipments. But I think the kill time is 48 hours. Meaning they must move from Lantau/chek hop (airport) within 48 hours. Sometimes it takes an hour to catch a flight, others, 48 hours.
I ordered my iPad2 (64G black ATT) on March 11 at 5:48PM PT but only today received notification of shipment. How is it possible that your unit shipped so early compared with my order which was placed earlier?
I sent Steve Jobs the following today:
"Hi Steve,
I hope this email finds you in good health. The second version of your latest "baby" the iPad2 is flying off the shelves and I congratulate you and Apple on another achievement.
I bought the iPad last year and have been very happy with it and so I waited until I could feel the iPad2 in my hands at 5:00 PM at a Best Buy store in Goleta CA before I decided that I had to have it (my wife now has her own iPad which she loves). My order for a black AT&T 64 GB unit was placed on the Apple online store at 5:48 PM PT on March 11. The online store promised shipment by Apr 1. I just received notice that my iPad2 shipped on March 31st with delivery on Apr 5th.
I eagerly followed forums on the receipt of iPad2 and to my dismay found that an order, for the exact same product, that was placed later on March 11was already fulfilled on March 30th.
The order and fulfillment system should be fair and orders should be processed in the sequence they were received. So how is it possible that a later order for the same product was fulfilled so many days earlier?

I so hope you're right. I keep logging into the Apple store for status and still get the following info. Hoping it changes soon.

Mines with yours it looks like. The Fedex tracking page still has it listed as being at Lantau island. Maybe they are now on their way to Alaska?
How many days does the engraving add to the order?
Mine was engraved, but there's no way to really tell.

Mine was finally delivered this morning. It ended up going through Indianapolis last night instead of Memphis, maybe because of the storms?
