IPad delivered, synched and now loving it! It was delivered a full week ahead of apple's estimates too.

Orig ship date: 4/4
Prepared to ship:3/27
Shipped: 3/28
Delivered 3/31

To also note, it relaxed on Lantau island for 48hr's before there was any further movement. Fedex always had a 3/31 delivery date so it wasn't late.

Are you in California? I can't remember. Mine cleared customs today, it should be on one of the two flights out of Alaska this afternoon and in my happy little hands tomorrow. Oh, I hope I don't have to pine over not having it another weekend!:eek:
 
Prepared for Shipment

I have been checking the status of my IPAD 2 that I bought on the 12th and I noticed today that my order status changed to Prepared for Shipment. Change is good and I was just wondering if this new status means that my IPAD is going to be shipped soon?

Review the thread and note the trends. It generally moves about a day or two after the "prepared to ship" notice.

My iPad 32GB Verizon Black ordered on March 13th at 11:30 am went to "prepared for shipment" today. I figure it will be here early next week, I hope.

I hope mine missed a scan or some flights are delayed. Sadly it hasn't left Anchorage today after barely missing the cutoff yesterday because of customs. I'm not too worried, it's still way ahead of its original estimated time.

I ordered this specific model as well (64gb AT&T Black) and it seems like those are shipping a bit later (day or so) than other models. Anyone else noticing that trend? My order was March 16 (est. ships 4/20 deliver 4/23)and I've been stalking this thread and my Order Status page ever since

It does seem that way, and some white models are shipping ahead of the curve. Apple probably doesn't expect to sell many of the top-of-the-line models like this, so ours are in lower supply. I don't think we're way off of the norm though.
 
ordered a black 16gb wifi on the 12th. its now prepared for shipment! originald ate was april 11. :D
 
lucky you... im still waiting for mine status to change :(

I was told the people who ordered on mar12, 13 are getting their orders shipped sooner but otherwise its just on-schedule... Hope thats not the case for me.

Much to my surprise my iPad didn't waste any time in Memphis, but caught a non-stop straight to Tallahassee. So I received my 32 GB, Black Wi-Fi iPad on March 30th. Order date: 3/11/11 4:55 pm ET. Scheduled ship date: 4/1, estimated delivery date: 4/6.

I had called FedEx and asked them to hold it at the FedEx location so that I wouldn't have to come home to the dreaded door tag and wait another day to get my iPad. By the way, apparently you can't arrange for them to hold it until it reaches the U.S.A. and I could not request the hold using the computer - I had to call FedEx.

Stayed up until 2 am last night transferring programs and data from my iPhone and deciding for which of my iPhone apps I needed to buy the iPad version. Worth the wait!
