I assume yours is headed to their hub in Memphis. If they can unload the cargo from flight 9176 and 94 before flights to the destination cities, you have a good chance. Good luck!

Ordered at 10:30am PDT on 3/15. Over the weekend the order went to "Prepare for Shipping" and got the shipping notice this afternoon.

Delivery is scheduled for this Friday the 8th!
 
Geez. How long does this thing need to sit on Lantau Island? So much for "fast free shipping".

have you tried the yahoo package tracker. On the regular fedex site it still says my ipad is in transit in lantau island. However on the yahoo tracker it already shows that it has left chek lap kok and then left lantau island which is two steps ahead of what fedex site is showing. You should check there too to see what the yahoo site says.

Thanks for the info. There are more entries on the Yahoo site, but still in Lantau Island. Doesn't seem like there are any Fedex flights going to Anchorage any time soon either. It's very possible I don't know how to use the FlightAware site either.
Thanks for the tip though. I'll use that tracker from now on. I wondered why some others status showed so many entries.

No Problem. for flight aware you just need to type in the origin and destination and look for any flights with fdx in them which is fedex. Here is the link
http://flightaware.com/live/findflight they usually go to anchorage ak from lantau island.
 
mines been stuck in lantau for daysss now.

looks like our ipads have flown together the whole way. mine is going to New Jersey so right in line with their april 6th delivery date.

Could somebody tell me where they think my package is right now? If it was released for delivery last night, shouldn't it have arrived to my state by now? I live near DC

you will get an update later today that it has reached your local fedex office and it will be out for delivery tomorrow. The site doesnt update right away so it might have already left the memphis location.

ive looked at order details on a few orders and have seen some orders come out faster than mine

i know i've seen a few with time stamps after mine by 30+ mins or so (yes im taking timezones into consideration). and i have a friend that ordered his with me. all these people have gotten their notification, but mine is still not shipped.

instead of crying about this i will give my theory and attempt to help others. I think its my girlfriend's fault. after i ordered the Ipad she decided that she did not want one of her own but rather to take 1/2 of mine. so she asked that i change the engraving. i think it is because i changed the engraving days later that it may have pushed my order down the line. i will post as soon as i get my notification, and any updates i get in the future. for now i would not recommend making any changes to your order.

I don't think engraving changes anything. I updated my engraving and it changed to "prepared to shift" just a few hours later

it could also be the type of ipad you ordered. i also had my order ship out after some people who ordered after me but i think that is because i ordered the 16gb black wifi which is probably the most popular ipad sold. seems you ordered the same one so it might just be demand for that ipad is higher then the ones shipped ahead of yours. it could also be location but this is all a complete guess.
