Lot of Apple fans at my job. Mine is shipping to work, but I will NOT open it here. A--I still have to get it home on the train, B--everyone at work will be pawing at it, C--it's not like I can set it up here anyway, and D--I promised my son he could help me open it up. He is SO excited to see it for some reason. (he's only 4)

After reading another's post I called Apple on Saturday to have shipping changed from free ground to overnight. Only $17 bucks to cut four days off the travel time is worth it considering how much time I am spending tracking this thing

Got tracking number and missed cut off in Shenzhen, says deliver is the 14th, hopefully 13th if the overnight delivery works, otherwise might have wasted my $

It is on the truck for delivery!!! Yippie! I think the extra $ for shipping may have helped. Original est. delivery was Apr.26th then since PTS got Apr.14th but I am getting it on Apr.13th!!!

my ipad 2 is in alaska since yesterday, and it cleared international release yesterday, is anyone in the same boat? i thought it would have flown into NY last night and i could go and pick it up today... but :mad: :mad:

how long does it stay in Alaska after it clears customs ????? there should be many flights out of Alaska to NYC, i live in CT and they should be able to make it via the New York flights....

If it got cleared yesterday it should be on a flight today. Mine was cleared on Monday, flew out Tuesday and is getting delivered today.

there are many flights, mine was also delayed a day, but it looks like there's so much cargo (not just iPads) running through Anchorage airport FedEx is taking 24 hours to turn it around once it gets there since all of these are "International Economy" shipping.

I am in the same boat as you. Cleared customs in Alaska yesterday (4/12)@3:07PM local scan time. Mine is coming to CT too.

About 15 hours later I have received my shipment notice. Looks like things may be picking up.

Now -- I'm just hoping my device is defect free! It's got a long way to travel from China to Massachusetts.

I don't know but mine cleared customs at the same time yours did and 4 flights have left anchorage to memphis since then. It still says 'held at sort facility' even though it has 'international release'. WTF...Is it going to spend all week in Alaska? I'm supposed to get it friday.

Mine is in prepared for shipment still, I am interested to see how long it takes for yours to arrive, so I'll know how long the trip to MA will take for mine.

Got it home and loaded it up, activated the 4&5 finger gestures and typing on it right now. Last post on the shipping thread, iPad in hand and loving it. Good luck to you all. Enjoy it, and it's worth the wait:D

I don't see any flights to Anchorage anytime soon. Does anyone know why a package would go to Memphis vs Anchorage?

I'm in NY. My iPhone 4 and MBP went to Anchorage first. I'm hoping for a Memphis flight sometime overnight.
