whats strange is that, the alternative tracking number, has a destination of a totally different location from me. huh
Im going to stick to my original tracking number, thank god for movement lol.
me too, specifically: Irvine, California - which I think is an Apple location.
I'm calling UPS now...

I have the exact same line, down to the minute, so we're on the same plane. UPS says that plane is still in the air and to ignore that alternative tracking number. It belongs to a Mr. Taylor and his iPad is already in the US and has cleared US customs.
I am looking good for delivery tomorrow morning, but not gaurenteed.
Doesn't say Alternate Tracking Number on mine......

Well, after this shipping fiasco, i dont really know when to expect my package......all i do know is not to expect it when they say its scheduled for delivery!
Trying to keep my hopes up that it will at least make it this week, but at this point i dont know what to think!
Unfortunately, as it has been shown you can't really trust anything that UPS folks say to you.
I have the exact departure scan from HK as you, but I was told by a UPS representative that my package cleared US customs yesterday morning and was already in TN, and I should be getting a scan to that effect soon, and have delivery by this morning. But instead...nothing from them until I found "Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong 04/27/2011 7:36 P.M. Departure Scan" this morning.
I see 2 UPS flights from Honk Kong to Anchorage.........neither of which are showing en-route( hopefully FlightAware is just not updated).....

Because, yeah, UPS controls the weather.
I've two iPads in transit, an iPad 2 for myself and a refurb iPad 1 as a gift. The 2 is going UPS from Chengdu and the 1 from Shenzhen by FedEx. The 1 shipped 3 days (4/22) prior to the 2 (4/25) and just yesterday made it out of HK (to Taiwan: hope it doesn't do the HK->TW->Osaka->Tokyo->Shanghai loop I saw a bit back).
Yesterday when I checked FedEx there was a similar weather advisory for Memphis and on the 20th, FDX98 was diverted from Memphis to Tulsa.
Shipping sucks, not just UPS.
I see the same thing, if I check yahoo. UPS tracking still only says Departure Scan from HK.
but this means it probably won't arrive until at least tomorrow, which means I'm out of luck until Monday

You might be able to call UPS and change the ship to address to where ever you may be the next couple days.......

I also had an alternate tracking number to a NY - which shows that it has been delivered. Called up UPS, and they said that its an issue with their system, and asked me to ignore the alternate tracking number. They gave me an estimated delivery date of tomorrow, or by latest on Friday.
Finally I see an update to my shipment!!

Hopefully we will receive it tomorrow!
I was at about 48 hours of Prepared for Shipping before getting a departure scan and sitting in Chengdu for another 48 hours.
Unfortunately I have been reading the threads about backlight bleed and front glass separation. For the sake of my sanity I hope that I won't need to return this.
i have read that too but being this late all the issues should be worked out i am hoping

Well I made the jump this morning and ordered my Black 32Gb wifi ipad 2. Gave me a delivery date of May 12th. Cant wait!!
