I'm sitting in my Shanghai office right now, still waiting for my iPad getting shipped to my friend in MN so he can send it back to China. I would like to take a 2 hours flight to Shenzhen, knock at the Foxconn door and pick up my iPad, but this is out of Apple's business model (and that is good so, if not China would demand the whole supply for a few weeks).

My Chinese colleague just told me the current grey market price in Shanghai is about 7500 RMB (more than 1100 USD) for the iPad 2 16GB Wifi and it is easily available.
 
I ordered my 32gb wifi,3g from at&t on 3/12/11 and now I see it is shipped. I also got email from at&t giving me tracking# and wireless ph#. Why the ph#???
also the email says:

Congratulations!
To Activate your Device and utilize the entire suite of features included with your service, you MUST follow these steps IN ORDER;

1. Charge your Computer.
2. Activate your service online at att.com/Activations or by calling 1-866-895-1099.
3. Connect to the AT&T mobile network by double-clicking on the AT&T Communication Manager icon.
4. Click the Connect button when it turns grey and start browsing the internet!
5. If you are unable to get connect to the internet, review the troubleshooting steps found in your AT&T QuickStart Guide

Do I do this after I get my Ipad2?

I am new to this!!!

the number is for people to call you via facetime (i think)

Charge your computer?

I would just plug it in your computer activate via iTunes and then go to the 3G area on the iPad and sign up for the data plan you want..

I just noticed now, 3/14, around 630 pm, PDT. I did check earlier in the day and it was still in the not shipped area. I doubt having it engraved made any difference. I have not received the shipping confirmation yet, so who knows if it will stay like this for awhile. Interestingly, the case and the dock are still under, "not shipped."
 
64GB White WiFi only shipping?

Anyone order 64GB white WiFi only and have it ship yet? Mine is yet to change from not yet shipped. Ordered at 1:24am PDT

I'm in the same eager boat as many of you. My iPad is currently enroute from Alaska, presumably to Oakland. Maybe I'll get it Wednesday instead of Thursday as scheduled? That would be awesome!

if my iPad 2 is on either FDX 48, getting to Memphis in about 30 minutes or 98, getting to memphis in about 3 hours, straight from HK, Columbia, SC is in the 2 day ground range from Memphis Hub...so if it gets to Memphis and on a truck a shot that I get it on the 16th...

EDIT: which could explain why Apple said it delivers by the 16th and FedEx says the 17th

Does anyone know if everything ships from Hong Kong to Alaska? Or are some sent directly from Hong Kong to Memphis?

What was the shipping time quoted on that order? Was that model still in the 3-7 day time frame at that time?
 
I know these things ship out at least twice a day. Anybody have a guess on when the next shipping notices go out. Considering the number in the prepared to ship category and how long we've been waiting, I'm hoping we'll all be pretty happy in the next few hours.

Wednesday? If you're anywhere near Oakland I'd demand, DEMAND! :), Tuesday delivery! The flight gets into OAK around 10pm. If you're in the immediate area, that's enough time to sort for the Tuesday trucks isn't it?
 
Is anyone still stuck in Anchorage? My iPad arrived in Anchorage earlier today along with a bunch of people's iPads, but mine remains under the status "International Shipment Release." In other words, "Congrats, you cleared customs, but your iPad may or may not have departed Anchorage." I can't imagine it isn't on one of the two planes that went to Memphis this afternoon/evening. Maybe it's just a delayed status update? Anyone in the same boat (or plane) as me?

I ordered 64GB Black wifi only at 1:03 am PST and these must be a unicorn too cause I havent seen or heard of these shipping - mine still says not shipped yet .....Very Frustrating :confused:
