Looks like my stuff hasn't been updated or it's still stuck in Hong Kong... bummer.
I ordered 64GB Black wifi only at 1:03 am PST and these must be a unicorn too cause I havent seen or heard of these shipping - mine still says not shipped yet .....Very Frustrating
I got the same one at 1:08 am PST and for the last 24 hrs its been in "prepared for shipment." wish it would go faster.

My iPad arrived on Flight FDX 48 HK Direct to Memphis! I'm in SC which is 2 day ground from Memphis so hopefully it will get to me on Wednesday, but Thursday is okayknowing that its in the states!
Where is my Smart Cover!? I think its lost in HK it better get here when my iPad does

that is excellent news, shows me my 9 am est time order has some hope of getting here earlier. Some one earlier theorized what we are seeing for shipments is the way the picking workflow goes in the warehouse. that is they get a stack of tickets for one model pick and pack those an then work on the next model. Everyone seems to have the own theory as to what is going on, engraving vs non, color, etc, etc. As we are still well within even the first quoted time of 3-5 days, I think everyone will see there ipad, just some won't be happy with the order in which they went out.
Some people posted flight tracking for some Fedex flights that went straight from HK to memphis--I'd guess you just got one of those and got there a couple hours earlier (first AK to Memphis flight lands 1:35anm EST).
For those of us who (maybe) got stuck in customs in Alaska, when is the next flight from Anchorage to Memphis?

Yeah I got an email at 4 am EST this saying it shipped and all day at FedEx.com it has said "Initiated: Shipment information sent to FedEx
Please check back later for shipment status or subscribe for e-mail notifications"
I just hope it is a very big delay in the scanning or something, I want this to arrive within a day of my iPad
J.G. we're in the same boat with the exact same model. I have no change in status as of yet. Keep me posted and I'll do the same.

My cover did not register in Alaska at all. Hong kong and next update it was in Memphis. Don't worry, some might not get scanned. Let's not jump to conclusions that our orders are being forgotten until it is past the expected delivery dates.

LUUUUUUUCKY!! Mine hasn't even shipped yet!! Stuck on Prepared like it's been for two freakin days!
I ordered my 64GB-Black-Verizon iPad 2 at 1:01am PST on Mar 11th. Every one of my accessories (Digital AV Adapter, Camera Kit, Smart Cover) have shipped, but my iPad is stuck in "Prepared for Shipment" status -- been that way for about 36 hours now. So if my iPad stays stuck that way for too long maybe I'll sell you my black leather Smart Cover. Man this is frustrating especially since I ordered just as they became available.

There were a couple FedEx flights that went directly from HK to Memphis. Yours was on one of those rather than missing a scan as the first Fed Ex flight from Alaska to Memphis today is still in the air and lands at 1:35am EST.

Can you please confirm that you placed your order on SATURDAY, the 12th, in the evening, through the Apple Online Store, and have already received notification that your order has "prepared to ship"?
After a long wait in line on Friday, and then more waiting at various Apple retail stores on Saturday, I came up empty and decided to finally place my order online with Apple on Saturday, Mar 12, 2011 at 11:14 AM PDT. Like you, I ordered a 64GB White iPad2 AT&T Wi-fi 3G unit. My ship date, according to both the e-mail that I received and the Apple order status website, is April 11, 2011, and my delivery date is April 14th (the long end of the 3-4 week estimate on the website).
Obviously, this is extremely disappointing, given all of the time spent waiting in line, etc., and after now hearing that the retail stores may be opening early tomorrow morning with more iPads in stock, while those of us with valid orders are left waiting for weeks.
I am really hoping that my order is similar to yours (especially if we are both really ordering the same thing), and that it will actually ship much earlier than is currently indicated.
So, can you confirm that you actually ordered *after* me, that you ordered the same thing, and that you are already making progress?

If it's in Prepared for shipment, I'd hang in there. I bet that it will ship pretty soon. It's not unusual for stuff to sit in that status for a couple of days.
