It will be local time or lets say Central so that makes it even easier I could have mine as early as Wednesday morning COOL
 
After no status change for almost 24 hours, I'm happy to say my iPad landed in Memphis about an hour ago along with many of those for others in this thread.

Incidentally, mine is a 32GB Black Wi-Fi only model, which I ordered at roughly 12:48am on Friday morning (basically as soon as I saw the store was open). FedEx is estimating mine will get here to me in Portland, OR on Thursday, but it could arrive sooner, depending on whether it flies straight here or goes through California or some other distribution center first.

My girlfriend on the other hand isn't so lucky; she ordered a 16GB White AT&T model at the same time I did and it's still stuck in the "Not Yet Shipped" status. Definitely a bit of a let down for her, but hopefully these AT&T models will finally start shipping out and she can get hers soon.

After a long wait in line on Friday, and then more waiting at various Apple retail stores on Saturday, I came up empty and decided to finally place my order online with Apple on Saturday, Mar 12, 2011 at 11:14 AM PDT. Obviously, this is extremely disappointing, given all of the time spent waiting in line, etc., and after now hearing that the retail stores may be opening early tomorrow morning with more iPads in stock, while those of us with valid orders are left waiting for weeks.

I am really hoping that my order is similar to yours (especially if we are both really ordering the same thing), and that it will actually ship much earlier than is currently indicated.

So, can you confirm that you actually ordered *after* me, that you ordered the same thing, and that you are already making progress?

It could have went either way the Apple site could have crashed and who knows what... I suggest if you have time go to the store you can always cancel the shipment ! If I could easy reach a store and mine wasn't on the way ...
 
Mine went through Anchorage, but it's ok...I live in Memphis. I may get it tomorrow, but probably Wednesday.

FedEx is like the only good thing about this town sometimes.

Unfortunately, I used Apple gift cards for my purchase, so I am kind of stuck now. I am unable to go the retail store route at this point, even though I have two within 30 minutes of my house. I am really bummed out about this.
 
Both my 32GB iPad 2 and my cover, which I ordered at ~5:00AM Chicago time on launch day are ship confirmed and in the hands of FedEx with a 3/18 (by 4:30pm) delivery.

Should be a good weekend!

FINALLY an update, my order sat unchanged for over 3 days. Unfortunately it just means my smart case is a little closer to NY and my iPad (16 gb white wifi) is still sitting in the warehouse.
 
Well over 24 hours on "prepared for shipment" here, too. :mad:

Update: I just got the acknowledgement of shipping from Apple! Woo!

Still in China, though, and not going to be here until Friday. Sigh.

At least it isn't 48 hours like it has been here! If mine isn't shipped tomorrow, I am going to be soo pissed (Sorry for the language, but common apple)... Apple will probably be getting a call!
 
Ok so I just checked with my bank...I paid with a gift card and visa. Looks like they charged the entire cost for the Ipad and deducted from the gift card only the balance for the cover.

I did order the 32G-white-AT&T version.

No information as far as the shipping so far. Since Apple is closed just wanted to check if any of you may have an answer for me on the charges.
 
I got my shipment notification email 15 minutes ago for my 64GB ATT 3G+Wifi iPad 2 (engraved). I placed my order at 12:56am PST on 3/11/2011. It was sitting at "Prepared for Shipment" since yesterday afternoon. Based on the fedex tracking info, I should have it by Friday.

I posted in #871 my iPad information. I just did a track and it is now in Memphis, TN. Some additional things I ordered are either there or in CA. So, I will sit back and wait now. While I'm waiting, I think I'll check every hour or so. Good Luck to all of you. I just hope the warehouse and trucks are under heavy guard overnight.

Yayyyy, More are shipping! That gives me at least a little hope mine might possibly ship!!
 
Not as patient as I used to be

I'm beginning to get a bit frustrated after going through this thread.
Ordered my iPad 2 32 Gb black ATT @ 12:48am PST and it still shows not yet shipped.
Just seems so odd that orders made later than that are shipping.

I ordered an At&t 1 min before you and mines is sitting at "prepared to ship" and although mines is a step ahead of yours .. I am still upset that it is stuck there.
